Predators and Counter‑Intellectualism

As we have already noted, the highest vehicle of consciousness present in the psychophysical complex of the human being is its Body of Thought (or the “Mental Body”). In other words, it is thoughts and their complexes that are the closest approximation to the fields of meanings — the hierarchies of logoi — available to a human being.

In this vein, it is important to remember and distinguish two levels of thought — “concrete,” that is, thoughts about physical objects and processes, and “abstract” — thoughts about ideas and their relationships. It is precisely the capacity for abstract thinking that makes the human being the “crown of evolution” of manifested life forms in our world.

In the future, as the human being evolves as a life form, these two forms of thinking will serve as the basis for the division of the Body of Thought, similar to how the physical body once divided (more precisely, it separated out from the common vehicle on the physical plane — the Body of Life), and how at present a similar division is occurring in the Body of Desires.

However, at the current level of humanity’s development, it is precisely abstract thought that is the highest level attainable of the embodied mind, and therefore the human being cannot perceive the Logoi as such (except perhaps in mystical insights), but works only with their “lower sections” — eidos or Me.

In other words — now the human level of mind is characterized by “creation with the help of thoughts,” and in this lies the duality of its present position: a human being is guided mainly by feelings in a world created predominantly by thoughts. And in this, too, lies the main vulnerability of the human mind: our thoughts are often influenced or limited by emotions, creating prerequisites for the development of destructors both within the mind and in the “objective” world it generates.

This is especially noticeable in the modern world, which stigmatizes people with advanced mental activity as “nerds” or “eggheads,” and prioritizes “experiences” or “emotional depths.” Modern culture increasingly emphasizes the importance of emotional involvement and personal feelings, which often calls into question a rational approach to problem-solving. People increasingly rely on emotions and subjective sensations when evaluating information or events, rather than on logic and facts. Undoubtedly, the element of feelings must be developed, manifested, and ordered; it possesses its own wisdom and enormous energetic potential; it should be neither suppressed nor allowed to self-govern.

Even the Buddha emphasized the importance of logic and explanations, which should curb and balance emotional experiences:

«O monks and learned men, test my words as a jeweler tests gold, when he (rubs it, melts it, and burns it in fire). Examine my words, not accepting them on faith merely out of reverence for me».

At the same time, as we have already noted, in the modern world dopamine addiction, clip thinking, as well as addiction to social networks and computer games are very significant factors affecting a person’s capacity for logical and critical thinking, as well as the very desire to train and develop one’s thinking abilities.

Indeed, addiction to a constant influx of dopamine leads to a decrease in the ability to concentrate and think deeply. The brain becomes accustomed to quick and frequent rewards, losing patience necessary for long processes — studying complex concepts that require a systematic approach and effort. As a result, logical thinking, which assumes consistent working through of a problem and argumentation, inevitably weakens. Constant switching between different kinds of content on social networks worsens the ability to focus on a single task, which is important for logical thinking and for solving problems that require a sequential approach. People become increasingly inclined to accept superficial conclusions and emotionally appealing information on faith, without conducting proper analysis of facts. This makes it difficult to understand complex concepts since the mind is not trained to hold attention on difficult questions for a long time. Moreover, as we have already mentioned, intellectual underdevelopment becomes trendy; being “smart” is seen as “not fashionable,” and sometimes even socially unacceptable. This phenomenon is often called “anti-intellectualism” or a “culture of ignorance.” The illusion is widespread that “everyone knows better,” and there is no need to trust the opinion of those who have deeper knowledge in certain areas. People who constantly consume the same type of content begin to perceive it as absolute truth, not considering that another point of view may exist, or a more complex and multi-layered explanation.

When people do not see the point of education or believe that it does not help in real life, they become less critical of sources of information and more inclined to believe any claims that seem plausible to them. This creates ideal conditions for manipulation by those who offer “simple truths” as a counterweight to complex and multifaceted knowledge.

As a result, people break away from interaction with the logoi and begin to live in a world of imperfect forms and erroneous ideas. They become easily vulnerable to manipulation and “emotional levers,” by means of which both exploiters in the world and predators “behind the veil” gain easy access to their energy and resources.

Indeed, the Archons cannot influence the logoi themselves — meanings that imply evolutionary aspirations and an inner pull toward liberation in the pleroma. The logoi are generated by aeonic forces that far exceed the Archons’ level and, in general, by destructive or limiting forces, and therefore their light poses a major problem for enslavers. Therefore, the Guardians of the Interval successfully block the perception of Higher meanings, devaluing public perception of both the experience of “insights” — a direct connection with meanings — and developed thinking — as a mediated ascent to the logoi.

Counter-intellectualism creates ideal conditions for manipulating people because it reduces the value of critical thinking, devalues the role of experts and of systematic learning in general, promotes emotional interpretation of information, and deepens informational segregation. When people begin to perceive intellect as something unimportant or even undesirable, they become easy prey for manipulators who use emotions, stereotypes, and false data to control their minds.

Overcoming this tendency requires profound changes in society — the promotion of the value of education, critical thinking, and awareness of the importance of deep knowledge for sustainable development and long-term success, both individually and collectively.

10 responses to Predators and Counter‑Intellectualism

  1. For everything to change, complete renewal is required. Too much has been lost, and there is neither strength nor time for much anymore.

  2. It turns out that Buddhism promotes counter-intellectualism in the form of renouncing thought. Dzogchen meditation – freedom from thoughts.

    • No, counter-intellectualism is not ‘renouncing thought,’ but rather the refusal of knowledge, which is not the same. Buddhism speaks of freedom from thoughts, while counter-intellectualism speaks of laziness. The consciousness of a practicing Buddhist is active, awakened, and radiant, whereas that of an intellectual sloth is drowsy, clouded, and asthenic.

      • Allow me to add. Not a refusal of ‘Knowledge,’ but a refusal (release) of thoughtforms in consciousness, and acceptance of ‘pure’ ideas and the voices of powers.

    • Have you never felt the desire to renounce everything to hear the power?
      I won’t believe it.
The desire to go into the forest and be ‘alone with nature’ is that wish to refuse the hustle, cleanse consciousness from thoughts, from unnecessary things, and try to Hear the power.
