Archons and the Loss of Discernment

We have already noted that, being “devourers of desires,” Archons suppress the will in manifested beings, turning them into passive generators of low-level pneuma for the inhabitants of the Interval.

If for most kidemons it is important that a being actively desire (but that its aspirations be destructive — whims and caprices), then for archons it is enough that a being be alive, firmly grounded in matter, and metabolizing life energy.

Even the retinue of the King of Ignorance — Bael (except, perhaps, for his beloved Prince — Orobas) does not stifle desire completely; it only disperses their energy, while simultaneously inducing dissatisfaction in the individual with his weak will. The more a being is dissatisfied with itself, the more energy it dissipates; therefore demons always remind “sinners” of their “sins,” thereby “milking” them even more. Thus, to the energy losses from the destructor itself are added the losses from guilt and “inferiority,” and demons have long since mastered this method of their cultivation.

However, Saklas, Yaldabaoth, is not simply ignorance; it is the absence of any desire to learn — sluggishness brought to the absolute and raised into a cult. The Demon of the Abyss does not need beings to want something and strive for something; for him desires are only a “necessary evil,” without which manifested existence does not happen, and therefore he “tolerates” them in minimal amounts and in the simplest form. And even when it is not possible to suppress desires in a being completely, the archons, at the very least, direct their energy toward the impossible, unrealizable — so that the hopelessness of even attempting to realize them “in waking” is obvious, and activity is shifted into dreams and virtual spaces.

At the same time, it is clear that for any farmer it is important that the resources he grows be undemanding and able to eat anything, so that they can transform the maximum amount of cheap and simple feed into useful biomass.

Therefore, the strategy of the archons is to accustom beings to “consume” any mental stimuli, any psychic activators sufficient for the extraction of pneuma and its slight toning. In other words, archons are perfectly able to manage reinforcement and reward systems, accustoming beings to constant mild stimulation and constant reward-seeking, which at the same time do not bring the mind out of a drowsy, listless state.

Indeed, as soon as a being begins to search for something, to desire something, to strive for something, large streams of “red” pneuma arise in it, which is too “hot” for the Fomors, and can be consumed only by demons (or, to their horror, even turn into nous).

Therefore, the strategy of demons is for a being to search but not find, to strive but not realize, to desire but not receive what is desired. The strategy of archons, meanwhile, is for a being to quietly consume stimulating content, sluggishly digest it, and produce low-tonic pneuma.

The current state of society is an excellent illustration of the success of this strategy. People do not seek information; they only passively consume that continuous stream of weak stimuli that the digital environment offers them. People choose less and less, analyze less and less, strive less and less, and increasingly lose their sense of agency.

As a result of the constant stream of new impressions pouring from all “digital channels” and the lack of deep understanding, people clearly display symptoms of energy depletion, among which the following should be noted:

  • Rising stress and aggression: people who ignore their inner stress and aggression may eventually become more irritable and conflict-prone. As a result, minor disagreements and misunderstandings can lead to serious conflicts and problems at the personal and societal level;
  • Low level of empathy; people immersed in the virtual stream unlearn how to understand and feel others, replacing their notions of people with their digital images, pictures, and avatars;
  • Instead of being in the present moment and having awareness of one’s feelings, thoughts, and surroundings, the mind becomes absorbed by a continuous flow of information and stimuli;
  • In a society where superficial communication and the pursuit of new impressions prevail, interpersonal relationships become less deep and sincere. This creates an atmosphere of pervasive, indistinct loneliness and alienation. In the pursuit of new impressions, a person has neither the time nor the opportunity for self-reflection, awareness of their feelings, values, and life priorities;
  • A constant flow of new impressions can lead to chronic attention fragmentation and a reduced ability to focus on a single task or topic;
  • Decreased satisfaction with life: continuous low-quality stimuli do not bring satisfaction with life. People constantly feel the urge for an even greater amount of stimuli.

It is clear that all these symptoms indicate a fundamentally dysfunctional mind: instead of “reflecting,” describing and thereby forming reality, it only flickers amidst the flashing lights of the virtual world, unlearning its main — creative — activity.

This is precisely what Buddhists mean when they call the Demon of Illusions — Mara — the main enemy of Enlightenment; merged with Abyssal forces, the mind acquires its properties — disorder, fragmentation, barrenness.

Accordingly, a Magus who wishes to protect himself from significant energy outflows and does not wish to be merely fodder for the Predators of the Interworld should not only find and realize his desires, not only cleanse and activate the impulses of his mind, but also maintain a sufficient intensity of the mental stream itself — its mobility and “liveliness.” Under conditions of active expansion of the Stoppers of mind, this latter skill becomes especially relevant.

  1. In addition, I have a couple more questions. How to use the symbol of Arbatel to counteract the lethargic pressure of Archons: to contemplate it, to develop an understanding of its structure, to visualize it on some part of the body? Does this symbol have dynamics – can it be ‘animated’ to make it dynamic in imagination? (The way I’ve looked at it, it still represents a two-dimensional scheme; is there an image analogy for it? How do Archons lull consciousness – how do they affect the subtle bodies (emotional/mental)? Can they influence (make connections) on the etheric and physical body?

    • Archons, as ‘authors’ and ‘directors’ of manifested worlds, establish the laws by which these worlds exist, and therefore have direct access to the ‘hardware,’ meaning they can try to influence a person’s brain directly. However, the true master of the body is consciousness, and thus it can overcome these ‘pirate’ attacks. Regarding the Arbatel amulet – it would be good to learn it and visualize it, then it can ’embed’ itself in consciousness and provide support there (like, for example, turning attention to hands in dreams). However, even a simple ‘amulet’ application – wearing it or displaying it visibly – can also be beneficial.

      • Hello! Is a small but obvious distortion of the amulet’s symbols allowed, or does it already indicate that I am in a ‘virtual’ world?) The image of the source appears rather sloppy by itself.

          • I acquired an amulet, but they sent me a distorted version. The triple cross at the top of the pentacle. The small upper cross – the small horizontal line is missing. The small right cross – the horizontal line is longer than in the left small cross. The tarot indicated it works.

        • Perhaps you can find an amulet without such distortions by searching for ‘tetramorph amulet’ or ‘divine sword with tetramorph shield.’ On one side, the pentacle of Arbatel is depicted with the names of angels, and on the other side – hayot ha-kodesh. Stamping on brass, but good quality; I recommend it.

        • Hello, if you don’t mind, I would like to talk to you about Tetramorpha; I think we have something to discuss. Please write your login in Telegram.

  2. Good article. From my experience, I can say that working with meaning (education, search, creativity) alleviates the sluggishness and lethargy of consciousness, especially when it occurs in a group co-creation (dialogue, meaning-making). Alone, the process seems sluggish – live people are needed)). From a magical perspective, meanings are the hierarchy of logos (principles), or in philosophical terms, are the formative FORCES? Therefore, our interaction with the logos is a process of their interpretation (meaning-making)? I am interested in how to return to the feeling of meaning, the ability to perceive the wave of meaning/touch of the logos. Because, in most cases, people use an empty informational crutch, where there is no presence of ‘living time’. This is easily traced when a person expresses their thoughts, which are empty and lack ‘tension’ and semantic saturation. Information is merely a slice of the environment, but without content.

  3. Thank you. What accurate assessments of a person’s state! It has become somewhat frightening due to the explanation of the causes. I mean, the otherworldly forces.

  4. I think the commentator here is absolutely right, pointing to the enormous influence of the collective or like-minded individuals. I can add that when the flow of consciousness in creativity, or even just in some life tasks, transitions or merges from personal to collective, especially when it is a small collective – then such a flow is practically impossible to stop or ‘lead astray’, to deceive consciousness or in any way knock it out of alignment for the nourishment of various beings of all kinds and levels. This so-called common wave washes everything in its path.
    When you are in the flow even of some non-dogmatic and non-oppressive teaching or over egregorial structures, the energy increases so much that the flow of consciousness is so rapid that it is simply impossible for anything to stick to you. Someone even compared it to a wheel – when it spins quickly, nothing can settle on it. So here too, all the dirt bounces off due to the laws of kinetics.
    But I have a question about the essence of magic. Analyzing the information that came in about the Freemasons, I encountered such thoughts that these adepts of various lodges were not as frightening as they were painted, especially by religious figures of all kinds. But that’s a long topic, although I would be interested to hear your opinion, Enmerkar. The essence of the question is that they somehow believed that magic was only a consequence of the egotistical consciousness, which acts according to its experience, desire, idea, and so on. And in contrast, for example, their magical rituals and actions, they had – theurgy, divine work, as I understand it, over oneself, to merge one’s will with the will of God, the Creator, which should ultimately lead to the desired result for the world, and not just to a narrow egotistical goal of the magician.
    Well, here’s literally their text:
    “In magic, rituals, mental images, and words are used to enrich and empower the personal ‘Ego’ and its will. In theurgy, however, rituals, mental images, and words are used to achieve the merging of the personal Ego with the will of God. This merging in the original Martinist tradition is called ‘The Path of the Heart.’ From this, it follows that the main distinction between theurgy and magic lies in the place of will in the process of achieving the intended goal. This difference is based on the position of man as creator in the world created by God.”
    Now, related to the aforementioned and about the collective flow and common goals – what do you think, does magic imply the egotistical goals of the individual? Can a strong magician involve huge masses in their egotistical and, for example, destructive, degrading actions in the world? And might it be worthwhile to immediately switch to working on oneself, the so-called ‘Path of the Heart’? Although there is much that your books and activities cover – that is, the impossibility of distinguishing the will of the Creator from the many wills of beings and the enormous difficulties in detecting and maintaining a pure flow of consciousness and connection with the Higher, let’s call it – the Luminous world? Maybe you have written something about this somewhere; I just found your block and am just getting into it and digesting the information.

    • The question of finding one’s ‘true will’ or ‘true desires’ is addressed by extensive literature and a number of articles on this blog.
      In fact, egoism is the result of limited vision, a product of obscuration, wherein the conditional center from which attention emanates at that moment is declared as something real and enduring.
      Accordingly, egotistical desires are, strictly speaking, not desires at all, but whims or caprices; that is – they have no roots in the nature of consciousness and are arbitrarily conditioned, fabricated, and arise from ignorance.
      The only ‘egotistical’ desire that grows from the very nature of consciousness is the aspiration for development, the actualization of a given flow of consciousness; however, even its egotism is relative since the goal of this development is the harmonious manifestation of consciousness as such.

      • Enmerkar, hello. Could you please tell me what literature you are referring to? Is there perhaps a list on the website? The question of finding true will is particularly relevant for me right now, as I am a bit confused.

        • The entire movement of modern Magic, based on the last of the great magicians – A. Crowley – is called Thelema because its “original” idea primarily pursues the discovery of this True Will and its realization. Accordingly, you can read the books of the Magus himself and those of his followers whom you consider trustworthy.

  5. Thank you for responding.
    I will try to find topics on your site about what true will is, let’s say according to the Freemasons or other spiritual trends – the will of God. And really how to distinguish the will directed from the heart, from the soul, from the consciousness striving for development and self-improvement from the will of the mind, striving for some superiority, simply for the acquisition of something unnecessary, or just a whim or being completely immersed in someone else’s thought forms.
    Yes, indeed, in our time, even bright people, whether intentionally or unintentionally, sometimes impose their will, whereas everyone should walk their own path, not on a path trodden by others, even a beloved teacher, while holding onto their string, well, I think (it’s a pity you don’t have smileys, I think with humor, even in the most difficult trials of thorny spiritual development it becomes easier, but that’s my subjective opinion). And to sort out what is yours and what is not – it cannot be done by logical conclusions. Here is needed something much greater and more difficult to explain in our human language and indeed all literature.
    I absolutely agree that egoism is the result of limited vision. When consciousness is narrowed down to a point, rather than expanded. I recall one mathematician who said – “Everyone has their own horizon, but when it narrows down to an infinitely small one, it turns into a point, then they say – this is my point of view.”
    Of course, egotistical desires – whims – are the lot of imperfect people, practically children in terms of development, but they are no less dangerous for others. It is no secret that people with naturally conditioned or genetically transmitted personal strength, powerful energy can create a lot of mischief with their, so to say, imperfect will. And indeed like you said in one topic, they can negatively influence both realistically and virtually. This is also observed in many forums of magic and spiritual trends.
    There is much written on this topic and I have read a lot, and I have many questions left, but perhaps something will soon dawn on me. I will read your materials and understand.
    But I would like to clarify with you – when using such a person as, let’s say, a syringe for extracting energy, how far can the Archons or others use them? Or is it until they cross the threshold of death or under what circumstances? Do they grow them or just find them in ways unknown to us? There are good people who are lured into traps, most likely through their “imperfect ego”, if such a clumsy explanation is permissible, but they are also used to the fullest. Egregores at least can give something from their lordly shoulder and often provide good protection – but for such people… it’s a disaster. I have seen how life for such people has literally shattered and ended in terrible consequences, but they firmly believed that they were saints and were doing good deeds, and that others simply didn’t understand them and everyone else just wasn’t self-sacrificing and hardworking enough. When you start to insinuate to them that sacrifice – even by primitive psychology – is bad, you get hit on the head from their guides from the subtle world. I’m already trying not to interfere, but sometimes I can certainly blurt out, but just purely as information, I cannot help but feel compassion, and let them deal with it themselves. People are quite powerful; their energy could be directed to a good cause at least for their own lives, but alas. The upper chakra is likely where the flow is blocked.
    Do you think it’s not worth getting involved? Especially when they don’t ask? And especially when your own strength is a bit lacking and there’s very little you can do?

  6. Hello, Enmerkar.

    Is it possible to distinguish between empty virtual worlds created by archons for their purposes and the reflection in our world of truly existing other worlds that may have projections here in the form of fantasy and science fiction? For example, I suspect that the universe of The Lord of the Rings is already a living world that exists somewhere in reality.

    And what then serves as an indicator of reality/virtuality, if the body can also be considered as a bionic device necessary for immersing consciousness in one world or another?

    • All worlds are created by “Archons for their purposes.” To be more precise, the worlds created by the beings inhabiting them are a product of their collective consciousness/descriptions, but this consciousness is also influenced by the Archons. As for “real” and “virtual” worlds, the distinguishing criterion is the ability to generate flows of energy and stable cause-and-effect relationships.

      • Not all worlds can be created by the Archons. The Archons are forces created by the Demiurge, who has fallen away from the pleroma, and are used by him for creation. The worlds they create are by no means all the worlds that exist in the Universe. Even in these worlds created by the Archons, there are glimmers and reflections of the higher worlds—there burns the light of Sophia even in them.

      • You want to say that everything created by our consciousness is already corrupted?
        Then the question is: how to create a pure world and how will this world differ from the impure one?
        And why do you think that the matrix of our consciousness cannot be originally pure?
        For example, in my world, there are already beings from the Source, meaning their presence there already contributes to the “correctness” of the foundations. Also, permission for their existence was requested from Alva.
        I read this as a sign that not everything is that bad.

        • All worlds arise from the collapse of aeons through the actions of the gemarogen/archons/ignorance. Only the potentialities of the aeons are not distorted. Anything that denies or repels the pleroma can only contain aeonic sparks.

          Alvam precisely needs the energy that can only be generated in worlds, and any world is distorted and removed from the pleroma.

    • “What can be said about the worlds of ‘Nine Princes in Amber’ by Roger Zelazny?”

  7. “Do you know what nature says about human consciousness? It should become the soil for future matrices.”
