Asthenia of the Mind
Although the human mind is called to expand and deepen itself, carrying out the Great Transformation of Power, in practice most beings accumulate a relatively small amount of Personal Power over the course of their lives.
And although this is largely connected with the activity of Parasites of mind, which push the mind along a path of destruction, and with the activity of predators that consume life-energy or the Red Light, none of these actors are able to “forcibly” arrest the development of the mind, and all their activity is aimed only at nudging the mind toward those conclusions and actions that it itself consents to undertake.
In other words, responsibility for non-development, for ignoring the Way and for the flaccidity of awareness lies entirely with the being itself, and in no way can it be blamed on the “schemes of enemies.”
The main problem of the mind is that it accepts being a victim.
The reason for this consent lies in the very nature of individualized, differentiated mind. Separated as a distinct aspect of the integral mind of the Great Spirit, the individual mind possesses all the properties of its Source, including its expansiveness — that is, the impulse to give.
At the same time, lacking its own basis of existence (since the source of the individual mind — the Monadic nature — has only potential existence), the individual mind is prone to error, and instead of building its own integration, finds “external” consumers in the form of predators and parasites.
Let us note that both “active” but ineffective or destructive behavior and sluggishness and sleepiness are accompanied by the dissipation of various kinds of energy, for which, of course, there are corresponding consumers — Demons or Elementaries, respectively.
Therefore the most important task that any mind oriented toward increasing the effectiveness of its being must solve is the transformation from the binary pole into an integral one. In doing so the mind ceases to be a victimized psyche, and, regardless of whether it wins or loses any particular battle, it always remains victorious, since it continually increases the totality of its being.
Nevertheless, understanding this necessity is a very difficult matter, since, deprived of the necessary tone, the “ordinary” mind does not sense there is a problem in the system of relationships in which it is involved.
In the modern world the chief obstacle on the way to the development of the mind is precisely the absence of tension — the very laxity and weakness of mind — that makes it a docile victim in the global slaughter.
The fuel for the mind’s development is experience, information (interaction with energies) in the broadest sense — intellectual, emotional, kinesthetic.
At the same time, the intensity of the modern person’s interaction with energies is very low, and the value of information is practically lost. Even when a person seems immersed in activity, they mostly accumulate only empty experience, failing to assimilate it and instead dissipating the mind’s energy.
The modern person is overloaded with information from everywhere, but is not carrying any real energetic load.
In this situation the mind most often falls into two traps.
Sometimes it simply leads a listless existence, reacting weakly to surrounding reality, sinking into virtual worlds, other people’s stories and other substitutes, and in fact going hungry and becoming exhausted. In this case, the person becomes prey to “Empty Spirits.”
In other cases — on the contrary — the mind “scatters” itself in all directions, accumulates empty experience, “becomes bloated,” and, again, loses concentration and therefore real development. Such a way of life feeds demonic predators.
Of course, for predators and parasites a “fattened” mind is preferable to an exhausted one, but even the exhausted mind is still more useful to them than a mind that is energized and striving to break free from consumer systems.
Therefore, in order to understand how effectively the mind is developing, one must first learn to assess its tone. This is very simple — try to engage with a new idea. An effective mind will try to incorporate that idea into its system, understand it, test it, and only then accept or reject it. An asthenic mind will avoid deep engagement with a new idea, barely notice it, put it off “for later,” or, conversely, gloss over its surface, pretending to engage.
If the mind is not fired up, if it does not use all its resources fully for growth — the situation must be changed urgently. Otherwise there is a risk of living the whole life as a chicken in a henhouse and ending up as soup.

Thank you for the article! As I understand, by separating from the “social herd” and delving into one’s consciousness, exploring one’s psychocosmos and heart, one can find something, whatever it may be, but “mine”. Impeccability is not about following others’ dogmas, but following inner aspirations, the authenticity of which is established through painstaking self-exploration. And the criterion will be the increase in inner integration, the feeling that a self is being born inside – a certain experience of experiencing oneself. Also, the tension of external awareness activity, desirable in itself and free from looking at others. Of course, one has to wear a “mirror cloak” (https://en.enmerkar.com/magus-way/zerkalnaya-poverxnost-maga) etc. to survive in a consumer society.
The most important indicator is the feeling of strength. You can get it from anywhere, but you have to search, sifting through heaps of empty garbage. And sometimes – you find a vein, and the soul rejoices!
But the most essential thing is to be able to generate the strength of your soul yourself. By looking within yourself, finding the seeds of light, developing them and sharing them with others. In this way, you ensure the flow of your strength, fill others and develop yourself.
The development of consciousness, as well as any other development, depends on the external environment. There is plenty of evidence for this; grass does not grow on stone. To say that everything depends on consciousness alone is incorrect, if only because it denies the life of the world. The world is undoubtedly alive, and no less than ourselves, it defines us.
The stone does not define the grass, and the world does not define us. The soil provides conditions for the growth of the plant, and the world provides conditions for the development of consciousness. But the course of this development in the case of plants is determined by their genes, and in the case of consciousness by its Orleg. What resources of the world help development, what hinders it, and what goes unnoticed depend on consciousness itself.
>>But the course of this development in the case of plants is determined by their genes, and in the case of consciousness by its Orleg. It is determined, but not completely. Gardeners, by pruning trees, can give them various strange shapes, and what results will be a compromise between the genetics of the tree and the gardener’s intention. The same happens with people. The environment is arranged in such a way that only some of a person’s possibilities develop, and human destinies intertwine strangely with the history of countries and peoples. >>And what resources of the world serve as assistance for development, what hinders it, and what goes unnoticed depends on consciousness itself. Yes, but knowing how consciousness develops among different beings, one can influence its development by placing obstacles or providing assistance. Unfortunately, one can even initiate a process of degradation. It is now not even hidden that manipulations with consciousness happen at almost every step. And manipulators are often not at all interested in development. The world is alive, there are many consciousnesses, large and small. The large ones create great currents for the small ones, and many small ones, unaware of this, follow them. And although interaction with the larger consciousnesses is the privilege of the few, a person is quite capable of feeling the great currents created by these consciousnesses. Large does not mean good; they can very well be parasitic. And if you have found the negative impact of such currents on yourself, it is not a reason to absolve yourself of responsibility for what you are but a reason to relieve yourself of guilt. One should find creative currents in the world and help them, thereby helping many, including oneself.
Dear Enmerkar, please tell me, what is depression from the point of view of magic? Is it captivity by entities, an irreplaceable loss of energy, exacerbated by the asthenia of consciousness? I have a friend who has been suffering from depression and anxiety for many years; death is the only way out he sees.
Most likely, it is a drain of energy. What it is related to needs to be examined in each specific case.
What a cruel diagnosis – we are all chickens in the soup. And it is not at all a risk to become this way, but a state. Apparently, in the genome of “chickens,” the Orleg is indeed chicken-like. Therefore, first of all, one must know whether an individual representative of the human tribe is truly a human. And this is a dark question. Let’s turn to the authorities. Immanuel Kant. “Two things fill the soul with a constantly new and increasing wonder and reverence, and the more often and attentively one reflects on them: the starry sky above me and the moral law within me (underlined by me – biarka). Both, as it were, covered with darkness or an abyss, lying outside my horizon, I should not investigate, but only presume; I see them before me and immediately connect them with the consciousness of my existence. About man as a moral being, it is no longer possible to ask why he exists. His existence has the highest purpose in itself, to which, as far as it is in his power, he can subordinate all of nature.” It is important and interesting to understand the nature of the action, the willful impulse, launching the entire cycle of consciousness. After all, asthenia, the flabbiness of consciousness, is indeed the marasmatic syndrome – the paralysis of will. Not only does the instinct of physical survival drive a person. So perhaps the genome contains a wonderful component for revealing the spiritual principle in conjunction with the monad. It is sad to see that the majority of people slide into a chicken existence and do not live but exist illusionarily. Powerful ideological systems, including religious ones, contribute to this. What does it mean “without the will of god, not a single dust particle will fall from a head”? Therefore, teachings where responsibility for the Wyrd and Orleg belongs to the individual are much more optimal.
Enmerkar, tell me, if a person realizes the acute need to change something, revises their views, etc., but at the same time their consciousness does not develop, does it mean that they have not understood the real necessity of all this? And then what is the reason, an agreement with the parasite, for example?
Yes, only a true hunger of the soul gives real motivation for development. Any “understandings,” “insights,” and so on cannot provide the energy necessary for this. Only when a person genuinely can no longer continue in such a form of existence do they find the resources for development within themselves. Even then, using this resource can be quite difficult. Self-motivation is a very important but also a very complex thing.
Why is it difficult? I thought it was like a sudden leap and then the wave goes on until it runs out (for that period).
It is probably always quite difficult to take responsibility for your own actions. To acknowledge that you yourself allowed for a stop or a backward movement is ‘somewhat’ more complicated than proclaiming the momentary victory of hostile forces in consciousness))
At the same time, the effect of asthenia is intensified when consciousness does not achieve a result in a specific situation (implementation). At this point, the formula begins to work: ‘if it didn’t work that time, it’s not worth trying again.’ Or even better: ‘so many undone things have piled up that attempting to redo them, or even starting new ones, is simply madness!!’
Such distractors can significantly hinder development and require very serious internal work on heating (firing up) consciousness. You need to want very strongly to break free from this bog.
At the same time, relevant leaps must be repeated regularly because the surrounding social world imparts inertia to our movement, the initial impulse of which seems to be (at the moment of its appearance) something that nothing can extinguish!
Good luck to all!
