The Objectivity of Reality
To a magus, any action, event, or manifestation is the result of a corresponding act of will; ultimately, will is the capacity to act.
Although they may say that the visible world is merely a product of description, most magi, in practice, believe in an “objective reality.”
That is, it is assumed a priori that what we see exists “really,” and that the function of the mind is merely a “reflection” of that reality.
In other words, instead of relying on the mind and seeking the key and the path to freedom, Magi often fall into a trap, getting carried away by cosmological descriptions, talks about reality’s “multidimensionality” and multi-layered worlds.
From a predator’s perspective, a magus who endlessly speculates about “subtle” and “dense” worlds, the “higher and lower astral,” and the like, is much safer for predators in the depths of the Psychocosmos.
Nevertheless, the foregoing does not mean that description is useless; on the contrary, we have already discussed the importance of mapping the battlefield, but one should not introduce extra systems into the description — remember Occam’s razor: do not needlessly multiply categories in a description.
The very act of diverting attention from important to secondary matters is a predator’s favorite tactic and the essence of the Psychocosmos’ destructors they impose.
If one assumes these predators dwell somewhere in the “astral” and are separated from us by a physical barrier such as a “difference in vibration,” a false sense of safety arises, leading to relaxation and vulnerability.
If, however, a Magus understands that perception itself is the only barrier, the barrier of perception, then the battle acquires a far more tangible and immediate meaning.
Put differently, from a practical point of view, rather than debating which “level of the astral” confrontations occur, it is far more important to understand how and with whom to wage it.
A simple example: the inability to perceive ghosts among ordinary people is usually explained by the “subtle nature” of the ghosts themselves. But the same phenomenon can be viewed from another angle — we do not see ghosts because we do not want to see them. Our mind’s perceptive capacity is limited primarily by its own internal barriers, created either by the personality itself for the sake of safety or by the parasite of the mind for its own safety. In other words — perception is a matter of choice: either we ourselves decide what to perceive, or someone forces us to perceive certain things.
This conception leads to a very important practical conclusion — our world is limited because we limit it. And although we do this not solely by our own volition, the essence of the matter does not change — the key to broader perception lies in the mind.
There is no need to seek elaborate ‘astral projection’ methods — this shifts activity outward and makes the mind unduly dependent on external conditions (although it is important not to forget that every action needs a point of support). In reality, all such methods are ways of immersing the mind in its depths and seeking ways to control attention — redirecting it from one energy block to another. A magus’ real efforts should be directed precisely at studying and mastering one’s mind, freeing attention from dependence on foreign influences where it now resides, and restoring individuality as the Psychocosmos’ system-forming axis.

Dear Enmerkar! First of all, I want to thank you for this blog. In many ways, my mind has been put in order.
I have a question regarding the article. You write, “it is much more important to understand how and with whom to fight” – it is hard not to agree. But where can I find specific information about it? How to know how to lead a battle – by trial and error? But every error could become the last, as I understand it… It has become very relevant for me. You encounter something or someone, but it is not clear who or what it is, and importantly – what to do with it. And something must be done – that’s for sure…
Every situation contains within it the seed of its development. In other words, when entering a battle, it should already be clear what this battle is for. To perceive this potential for development, one only needs to observe the situation attentively, and its vector becomes clear.
Read *Letters of the Trickster*.
“And where can I find specific information about this?”
Can the Zohar be used as specific information on this?
The Zohar is a description of a way of perception, but not of consciousness itself. Information about consciousness is best sought within consciousness itself.
Judging by the last two articles – it was hot and interesting in the “May fields”:)
Times are changing, methods are changing too… if before it was the Inquisition, now it’s Profanation… what different methods and what similar results – only a few live in Magic.

Carefully re-read the articles of this blog. There are answers to many questions here. And remember, as it is written in one thick book – “… Seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be opened unto you…”. Some seek Teachers… some seek Students… and miracles sometimes happen:)
Indeed, those who talk about a thick book are right. This is exactly how I found this blog. I completely agree about the change of times. It hasn’t even been two years, and people around have simply been zombified by incomprehensible “fakes” and faith in nanotechnology. A couple of centuries ago, when magic was a secret science, no one questioned consciousness and answers; everyone went about their own way, stumbling along the path and seeking themselves. Because the path to any science of life, just like to a Teacher, is only a path to oneself. And now, when “magicians” are looking at you from every little newspaper, people’s interest in this has diminished, turning into amateur gatherings on Sundays in a dark basement. I apologize for my bluntness; it’s just been building up.
– Our way of perception is that of a predator, – Don Juan once told me. – A very effective method of assessing and classifying prey and degrees of danger. But this is not the only way available to us to perceive. There is another type of perception that I am trying to introduce you to – the perception of the essence of everything: immediate perception of energy.
The perception of the essence of everything will make us completely reconsider, classify and describe the world. And this new description will be much more exciting than the one we are currently accustomed to, and its language will be incomparably more sophisticated and richer.
(K.C. Book 9, Chapter 1)
I realized something: when perception is stripped of emotional coloring (prism), a part of the boundaries is removed. For example, if one calmly and without fear observes the night, they can see much more. If one looks at the night with closed eyes and in fear, they can see only what is visible with open eyes. But if one stops being afraid and just observes, then colors, movements, and beings become visible. Not everything is clear, but it is certainly seen more than during the day or night, simply by sitting and looking into the darkness.
…they say: fear has big eyes. There is fear that arises from the mind. It can be overcome with the help of the mind. …a new idea is introduced… and suddenly the “fearful dark forest” ceases to be frightening, and a walk through it becomes an exciting adventure… almost in another world) …but there is fear that comes from the body. This type of fear is harder to manage. Primitive horror literally paralyzes you or drives you to run away without looking back, and it doesn’t fade with attempts at self-soothing) …it’s an amazing feeling when you sleep in a night forest – you merge with it into a whole. (Of course, you sleep in your shoes and with a weapon in your hands)))), but that is more a fear of people than of spirits. …and every new sound that goes beyond the usual sound set draws your attention to its source. …this is how awareness of everything happening within many meters around you comes about… over there on the hill a beast ran by, and here, almost nearby, a nightbird sliced through the air with a loud flap of its wings… and all this time you somehow manage to sleep))… I wrote about myself… for others, it might be completely different.
How interesting, now I realize that I fell into the trap of searching for various intricate ways to enter the astral. But I still ask, as it is very interesting. The ways to exit where you imagine (specifically imagine) that you exited from the body and walk around there, in the room or in some familiar places, is that considered an exit to the so-called ‘lower astral’? Or do perceptions of the astral begin when the vision of the environment occurs automatically, that is, is not connected with ‘imagine’? This question is not from idle curiosity but more to determine whether my magic or path of development has not slipped into the illusion of the path itself.
Astral, in essence, is a field of energy in which we ‘move’ consciousness, but to be more precise – we activate certain fields, forming structures reflected in our consciousness. What we see is called projection and depends on our perception. There is no division into ‘higher or lower’ astral. To avoid falling into illusion, practice is done with open eyes.
So is the exit to the astral done with open eyes?
And still, does the vision of the Projection in the astral start when everything happens automatically ‘like in a dream’ or when you imagine you are out?
And what do you call ‘astral’?
https://enmerkar.com/en/myth/astral-as-a-mode-of-perception
Exit to the astral ‘by representation’ is possible when you already somewhat understand the principle. That is, you are described a place and you ‘reach’ there with your consciousness, finding yourself in the right place. This method is called ‘Give guidance’. 🙂
But initially, you must learn to simply extract the energy of consciousness and see images without slipping into fantasy.
Well, in my understanding, projection or exit to the astral was point 3 (Perception of the Interworld and its inhabitants). Point 2 (Perception of the ‘passive medium’ in the aspect of Telesmi) in my understanding is like ‘astral vision’. Good article!
