Activation and Realization of Mind

As we have discussed more than once elsewhere, from the perspective of the myth, reality is seen as the result of the interaction and mutual penetration of two primordial aspects of transcendental proto-reality, two primary principles — active (expansive) and passive (receptive). The active, self-organizing and self-manifesting primary principle is usually called “mind“, while the passive one, which provides the field and the possibilities for consciousness to manifest and through which consciousness itself is objectified, is called the “environment“. The process of interaction between “mind” and “environment” is traditionally described as “the entering of light into the vessel“, in the course of which a conscious — that is, actualized — reality is brought into being.
In other words, everything that can be described as “existent” is a product, an epiphenomenon of consciousness acting within the environment, and the interaction of these primary principles, which are themselves epistemological abstractions, constitutes the essence and content of the entire world process.

We have also discussed that this interaction, although it does not alter the inner nature of proto-reality — the Great Spirit — can nevertheless be regarded as its self-knowledge, its self-actualization; the product of this self-knowledge, namely “reality”, is described from two perspectives — as “worlds”, the “macrocosm“, and as “beings”, the “psychocosm“.
Accordingly, the ‘inherent nature’ of the macrocosm — the aggregate of objects and the interactions between them — is described as “vortices“, or, in more modern terms, as “waves”, “oscillations”, “vibrations” of the environment, while the “inner nature” of manifested consciousness is the sum of its individual states — matrices. In this framework the “elementary object” is called “energy”, and the “elementary subject” a “monad”.
Thus any manifested existence, any actual process or phenomenon may be considered from the standpoint of “being” as a “play of energies”, and from the standpoint of consciousness — as the activation of particular matrices.

Both descriptions imply that the state of being or consciousness can possess differing degrees of stability and differing degrees of productivity in mutual actualization of the primary principles. And just as fluctuations of energies can lead to the formation of stable — that is, accessible to mass awareness — worlds, so the play of imagination can lead to the formation of stable flows of awareness — subpersonalities, personalities, and suprapersonal matrices, roles that encompass different ‘beings’ divided by both “spatial” and “temporal” boundaries.
Accordingly, depending on which matrices and to what degree they are active in a given individual stream of mind, the stability and productivity of that stream change. Both the hierarchical level of the active matrices and the amount of energy involved in the manifestation of each of them matter. If the greater share of the energy available to a given stream of mind is directed and organized by destructive matrices or by matrices of simple “needs“, then the evolutionary prospects of that stream are slim. Conversely, the higher the hierarchical status of the matrices active in the stream of mind and the larger the portion of energy they command, the more effective the stream itself becomes.

Therefore the “yoga of the deities“, “Knowledge and Colloquy“, and other forms of awakening and activation of higher matrices can, of course, be valuable instruments for intensifying the evolution of a given stream of mind.
By activating, recognizing and actualizing one or another “enlightened” matrix of consciousness, one can secure its dominant influence in the stream of mind. At the same time, as always, two paths are possible — the “extensive” and the “intensive”. The first consists in the activation of a large number of constructive matrices; the second in the maximal realization of at least one of them. If a matrix makes a significant contribution to the distribution of energy flows in mind, it is called “active”, and if it governs all the basic flows — “realized”.
The path each particular magus takes is determined, of course, both by the tradition in which they develop and by their individual proclivities; in any case the task comes down to ordering and intensifying the evolutionary currents in consciousness — that is, effectively, to the “normalization” of its existence, a “return” to how everything ought to proceed.

Hello! Here’s a question: you described the strikes of Light, so in your opinion – does this occur simply because a being touches a potential that, let’s say, they cannot accommodate at their current evolutionary stage as a vessel, or is it due to some fundamental incompatibilities in activating matrices, and not every Light suits everyone?
Not every light suits everyone… – Essentially, we have one source of light. Physically, it is the Sun and its fiery energy. When interacting with matter, the Sun’s energy becomes material. We feel warmth, we see light, and some matter can ignite from this light. For instance, if this light is concentrated through a magnifying glass. Let’s take grass that ignited from the energy/light of the Sun: what is its problem – is it that it has the matrix of grass, or is it that its form is dry, devoid of energy, and no longer capable of photosynthesis? Or could the problem lie with the Sun? Or with the magnifying glass? Transfer this picture to the spiritual plane.
Let’s take the Archetype. The Archetype creates the psychocosmos, and thus is a matrix. And know what the essence of the Archetype is – it is universal. And what is the essence of development? – it is that a person strives for individuality. But here’s the paradox, the more individualized a person is, the more universal they are, which means they are closer to the archetypical. Let’s take tarot. I think it is no secret that the major arcana depict archetypes, that is, certain matrices. And now let’s take me, tarot, and my meditation on an arcana. For example, the Fool arcana. Think about it, do I want to become the Fool? This depicted figure of the Joker? No. I am more interested in its energy, to awaken a certain cell of my matrix. But my matrix is not the Fool, nor the Priestess, nor the Moon separately; they are all merely parts of it. My matrix is not depicted until it is lived. So who will answer me as to what it actually represents?
