Boundaries of the Vessels

The use of the term «vessel» to denote the unit that brings being into actuality aptly conveys many characteristics of this system, yet at the same time contains certain inaccuracies.

One such important inaccuracy is the impression that a Vessel is isolated from its surroundings and, above all, from other Vessels.

In fact, the term “vessel” is meant primarily to stress its receptive character, in contrast to the expansive nature of the Light. At the same time, we have repeatedly noted that the distinction between “Light” and “Vessels” has purely an epistemological significance, since in an ontological sense there is no such thing as separate Light or Vessel. Moreover, as we have also mentioned, once a Vessel receives Light into itself it immediately acquires the expansiveness inherent to that Light.

This is precisely why another adequate way of describing the process of the mind’s entry into being is to represent reality as a totality of interacting vortical structures in which the unfolding of potential being occurs.

The foregoing has a very important consequence: individual manifestations of the mind do not have sharp borders; their individuality is formed only by the «cores» in which the self is concentrated, while at the periphery that distinction disappears, so that one can speak of the «universality» of the Psychocosmos just as of the “universality” of the Macrocosm.

In other words, as soon as a mind begins to move away from its center, it encounters ever more signs of the presence of other minds; the entire universal Psychocosmos can be represented as a field of consciousness of varying intensity, with the greatest intensity corresponding to “points of crystallization,” the individual foci of consciousness, so that in fact there is only an infinitesimal point where the mind is fully individual (this point is traditionally called the “Spark”), beyond which the unified force of world-mind prevails.

At the same time, one should not get the impression that the mind is entirely collective. As one moves away from each Center, from each Spark, the individuality of the mind diminishes, yet remains the dominant force within a certain range. This span, in which the system-forming force is that particular individuality, is called the “Field of consciousness,” which ends at the “Horizon of consciousness.”

The latter concept includes the region of the Psychocosmos in which individual mind is still noticeable, but its dominance is minimal.

Such a mapping of the Psychocosmos was of course first developed by the ancient Egyptians.

The concept of the “Field of consciousness” — the “Fields of Offerings” — is key to the description of the Duat — the outer regions of mind. The Fields of Offerings are described as a place covered with water, which emphasizes the fluid nature of mind. At the same time, an important feature of these Fields is an island that proudly rises above the streams of water — a “focus of consciousness.”

“They will regard me as righteous on this island of earth to which I am sailing..” (Pyramid Texts)

Yet the Horizon of consciousness — its border region where individuality meets the manifestations of other minds — was also described by the Egyptians. The Horizon (Ahet) is the reality where “earth” passes into “sky”, where individuality pours into world-infinity. In the Pyramid Texts, Ahet is called “the place where the gods were born”, which signifies the transition from limited being to infinite being.

Note that Ahet is the dwelling of the Lord of the Threshold, to whom the pharaoh flew “on the wings of Thoth,” which indicates that although the boundary is blurred, it is not altogether absent; the vessel nevertheless remains a vessel, that is, world-reality is differentiated — only this differentiation is not as rigid as it may seem.

In connection with the above, the phrase “expanding one’s horizons,” often used to describe the mind’s development, takes on special significance. Indeed, the larger the area of its “own” Field that a mind controls, the farther its Horizons extend, the wider the possibilities for actualizing potentials, and the fewer monsters dwell there.

  1. Thank you. Very interesting article.
Is it possible for a situation to occur where, in the process of expanding one’s horizons, one field completely engulfs another, along with the spark that gave rise to it?

  2. The interpenetration of vessels can often lead to an expansion of awareness for both 🙂 However, it can also work the opposite way if it gives rise to mutually feeding monsters. The rotation of a vessel and the use of other edges and facets for contact with the vessel can harmonize the relationships between vessels and also expand the horizons of awareness.

  3. It can be said that consciousness is directed towards the periphery through an effort of will, and the more often such effort is applied, the more frequent the interactions between the periphery and the center occur, and the more fruitful and broader the increase in awareness becomes. And does the infinite transcendental transform into a unity?

  4. This blog resembles a house with a huge number of rooms, and in each room, an interesting story awaits—a thread that weaves into the Pattern.

Psychocosmos is a field of consciousness with varying intensities… “consciousness, as a general characteristic of manifestation, has a universal spread”… The greatest intensity is the point of crystallization—an individual focus of consciousness—the Spark—the center of the nucleus—Selfhood. (Selfhood is the intertwining of opposites in the absence of contradictions). The achievement of selfhood = realization of the potentials of the monad. Human consciousness is NOT at the center of the nucleus, as it has NOT achieved selfhood and has NOT realized the potentials of the monad. However, there exists the possibility of a Leap—Transcensus, which forever elevates a person from the Streams of the Whirlwind, placing them in the Center, i.e., Selfhood.

Consciousness is removed from the Center, but does not control the Horizons. The collective of Consciousnesses—Vessels without rigid boundaries exists in a spaceless timelessness. (Thought travels faster than light, and therefore—does not travel, because there is no space))) A child’s consciousness, after the installation of the common Picture of the World, narrows down to a Spherical-like membrane (not necessarily closed into a whole) (Sphere, extension, expansion, etc.—these are conditional concepts used for convenience of description). Consciousness—The Membrane expands in two directions—towards the center—selfhood: self-discovery—the realization of the potentials of the monad. Towards the horizons—tracking, analyzing interferences that hinder the achievement of a state of Harmony and restructuring the System in the most effective way to achieve the Goal (entering a new evolutionary spiral of existence)…… could it be that a momentary harmonious presence of Consciousness throughout the entirety of the Vessel is the new evolutionary level?

  5. In general, expanding consciousness can be trained, including by looking at the horizon. We hardly ever look at it, but our eyes are a specific magical thing. I specifically took a train ride and looked out the window to see more of the world.

  6. Wow! – about the horizon. And looking out the window is a favorite pastime on trains.
I was recently in the place where my childhood took place. One of my wishes is to feast my eyes on the horizons there, which I remember and miss. Another observation: if you’re used to living in places with open horizons, it’s usually a small settlement. Later, when you find yourself in the capital’s slums, it’s as if the buildings are pressing down on you, blocking the sky. I’ve also heard little children who live in megacities and towns say that the latter are larger. Probably because of the horizons.
And also, perhaps, children train their expanding consciousness by climbing trees, attics, rooftops, and descending into basements.

Where we look was well expressed in a recently restored ancient church. Huge white walls and only at eye level are the icons; above human height, the white walls rise about 30 meters. Although most parishioners tend to look down at their feet, the usually painted walls of churches make you lift your eyes upward.

Apparently, the horizons of your consciousness set the positions you can take in relation to yourself, another object, or a process. Either the train runs over your tail, or in the distance, a tiny dot—a little caterpillar—moves along the lines, or the earth continues to spin, or the universe keeps expanding.

This blog feels like a house with rooms that have mirrors and echoes. I’m increasingly missing living eyes and voices here, and much more that could be close to the horizons…

    • It sounds like a reproach. Sometimes I think that it’s best to remain silent, but it doesn’t always work out.

At sunset, when there are some clouds in the clean sky, if you travel by bus or car, you can see… there… on the horizon, in the clouds – heavenly mountains and valleys and dinosaurs bending their long necks and drinking water from a lake with heavenly blue water, illuminated by the rays of the setting sun… In this August, I visited a healer – a Bashkir. I asked for advice. I followed his first piece of advice 12 years ago, but I haven’t been able to bring myself to follow the second one for a year and a half now – every time I come up with an excuse or a serious reason. However, I really liked his third piece of advice. – “Go tomorrow at dawn to Mount ‘Black Head’, there you will find your answers,” he said. When we reached the summit – I forgot all my questions – the beauty there is indescribable. – The White Rock and the reservoir and the villages at the foot of the mountains and so much more that cannot be conveyed… and I understood him, why he came there and stayed to live – you simply fall in love with these places, these horizons, the sunrises, the mountains and… leaving, you want to return again… The girl who brought me there said that there is always a strong wind and it’s cold at the top, even in summer… but that morning there was no wind, and she was surprised, saying it was the first time it had happened, and we also saw a beautiful UFO when the sun had not yet risen.

      • A couple of years ago, a friend of mine shared, to the chorus of “ha-ha-ha,” how older kids used to tease him in childhood. They said that the clouds looked like dinosaurs, and that what was in the clouds would soon be here. Back then, he was scared; now he was sure it was nonsense. So, there’s a grain of truth in every joke, it seems…

      • Here it is, I mean such wonders. Perhaps it’s because of this house that you start to particularly notice, appreciate, and cherish them. What accusations could there be? I just really miss you. And silence is simply wonderful. Being close.

  7. I’m having a hard time understanding; I’m looking closely—how is it that someone who seems independent and is so keen on expressing their opinions thinks like a weather vane? They think whichever way is convenient. We want to be logical, and of course, we get criticized for that—no, we also have our romantic side. It’s all just talk. What I don’t understand is this: I also consider other people and reality in shaping my statements and in general. But why does it come off so pitiful? Where is the boundary and the mechanism here? What kind of open wound is this, where any differing opinion is like salt? We rush to argue, throw shoes, chase away demons, or try to change ourselves. And it’s like with Clara Zetkin (she really resembles her right now)—if you’re not with us, you’re against us. We only praise and support all our so-called friends. The reaction to dissenters is to attack everyone who disagrees. In general, this is quite a common phenomenon. It’s just that I’ve never experienced anything like this in my close circle, and I’ve never acted this way myself. It’s quite unpleasant. I mentioned that I once thought about writing a poem but held myself back—it’s insincere and disgusting to do something just to please others. Oh… maybe it’s because she seems to claim some kind of idealism—like we can contain the whole world, well, for you it’s a performance… It’s all very interesting, and until it ends well, I guess I’ll keep watching. What a tail of a sitter.
