Transformations and Sealing

Since cleansing (along with realization) constitutes one of the two pillars of both individual and collective development, the approaches and methods for deactivating and eradicating destructive matrices deserve close attention.

Two fundamentally different approaches have been developed in the Western tradition: 1) for cleansing the individual stream of mind — various technologies of transformation; 2) for macro-streams — the sealing of destructive matrices.

We have repeatedly noted that these approaches differ both in methodology and at their very root, and therefore it is crucial to apply them appropriately: for the individual stream of awareness, sealing risks halting its development, whereas attempts at transformation of macro-streams most often end only in the strengthening of destructive vortices and drain the operator’s energy.

At the heart of the technologies of transformation lies the energy of authority — the domination of the self within each individual stream of mind. The self in such a stream is analogous to the Great Spirit of the universe: it shapes the stream and is capable of any manipulation within and of it. All cloudings, delusions, or, conversely, evolutionary changes in any individual stream occur with the consent (often implicit) of the self as the system-forming force. Accordingly, relying on this power as the supreme individual Authority, the Magus transforms (drains, filters, or replaces) the stream of awareness. It is clear that the higher the level of self-knowledge, the more precisely the self is identified — the more fully manifested and controllable its power over the psychocosm. In other words, a Magus’s power over his own stream of mind is proportional to his level of awareness and directly depends on his level of Power. Thus, for successful cleansing of the mind, the key role is played by self-study, self-awareness, and self-identification of the stream, to which the main efforts of the Wayfarer are directed.

By contrast, it is obvious that power over the macrocosm grows as de-individualization proceeds and mind identifies with the universal Spirit. So long as the degree of such identification is small, while the mind retains a self and an ego, its power over “external” streams is determined by the size of its stream of consciousness, its Power and Authority. That is why it is not only laughable but fatally dangerous for an “ordinary” practitioner to try to “compete” with universal destructive streams. When Magi who have read only a couple of Papus or Maria Stepanova books attempt to “command” Asmodeus or Astaroth — this is not merely pitiful clowning, it is another victory for the Dark, convincing the world of their harmlessness.

It is precisely for this purpose that Seal Magic was created and developed — a technology for influencing macrocosmic vortices by manipulating their “quantum analogues” — sigilla.

This technology is based on the notion that, lacking power over the very nature of spirit, a Magus can influence its manifestations in his surroundings, restraining vortices by “knocking out” their support points: correct manipulations of Seals and sigilla affect the the telesma so that the spread of the vortex within it is impeded. In other words, a Magus’s power over the streams around him is directly proportional to his mastery, his skill — that is, it is determined by his Authority.

And in this art, self-knowledge alone is no longer sufficient: a careful and painstaking study of the laws of vortex formation is necessary, as well as a clear understanding of the operation of the Law of Analogies and “reflections,” on which Seal Magic is founded. In order to “cut off” the possibilities for the spread of a particular vortex in the telesma, one must know its “tracks” — the anchor points and imprints that are expressed by a sigilla describing the vortex, or a Magic Square describing the consciousness matrix of that vortex.

It is clear that anyone who does not wish to be a food source for predators of various natures and sizes can and should strive to cleanse their own stream of consciousness, while manipulations of “external” vortices remain the province of “professionals” prepared for all the hardships and risks of such work.

However, understanding the applicability of one method or technology to each particular situation is important in any case, since “ailments caused by improper treatment” are a serious problem both at the physiological and energetic levels.

Why is it that only Enmerkar among Russian-speaking authors of magical themes pointed out the main principles for a mage, about the terrible influence of destructive forces, about the “difficult” everyday life of a mage, and most importantly, that if predators do not show interest in you and do not try to lead you astray, and if there are no obvious obstacles to the spirit’s development, then one should think about whether that is the path full of power and wisdom that it seems to be… I am just perplexed as to why I stumbled upon one pillar of adequate reality assessment while everyone else wears colorful glasses; wherever you look, it is just necessary to think, sit by a candle, dance, draw a pentagram, and say a prayer and everything works out, while demons are just sweethearts and they almost bring benefit to the spirit, filling them with wisdom and awareness. Everyone who possessed power and sought awareness, without a teacher, seriously fell for the tricks of the cunning, and ultimately lost time, strength, and engaged in self-destruction, praising “evil” forces and most often supported the actions of archons and grimoires rather than demons, but one way or another wasted resources and did not open new connections, but sat in their box which they called a temple; this was not magic, just an attempt to play at it. In this worldview, there was no god, no vertical order (although the words Absolute, Truth, Universe, Magical reality were constantly in circulation). It was all just chaff (when I later learned what exactly this implies when considering the translation of Klippot). The world is predatory, full of absolute dangers, requiring control at every step, especially if you practice magic and self-development. It’s like going into the woods without a knife or axe, matches, flashlight, sleeping bag, and without spare socks, wandering into a swamp, getting caught in the rain and expecting that every rustle would bring someone who does not wish to help you survive, or even devour you… How to find support in such people, to find authorities and through them receive keys for further wandering. I wish all travelers the purification of consciousness and understanding of their path.
