Betwixt the Two Horns

We have already mentioned that the development of human consciousness unfolds under the constant pressure of two groups of energy consumers – qlippothic and interworld predators, who not only provoke inefficient behavior, but also conduct a kind of “selection,” shaping humanity into their food source.

Such pressure has a positive effect on people’s material well-being, since both groups of energy consumers are interested in the growth of the population and the “productivity” of their “herds”; however, this means that mental development can occur only in struggle or confrontation, not “thanks to,” but “in spite of” the natural order of things.

And although the two main groups of ‘farmers’ consume, for the most part, different kinds of energy, a certain share of competition inevitably arises between them, because as soon as people begin to become active, produce more “red light” and feed infernal consumers, the vital energy flowing into virtual spaces decreases, and conversely, as the mind grows more virtual and weakened, the pneuma’s tone weakens.

In order to understand to what extent humanity’s development takes place “between hammer and anvil,” it is useful to examine the relationships between the predators.

We have already noted that from the human viewpoint, the “farmers” who “milk” and consume most of the energy produced by people are two groups of entities (or two types of tendencies of consciousness) – the so-called goetic demons and Fomors; moreover, the former are “supported” by “black” demons of the qlippoth, while the latter are patronized by the Archons.

The latter, in turn, are “shadow” manifestations of aeonic forces; and qlippothic demons are the “shadow” of the Sephirothic ethers, i.e., of the Fifth Aeonic family, whereas the Archons are the “alter ego” of the Aeonic deities of the lower dodecad – the “Sixth sonship” of the aeons.

In other words, demons are formally generated by higher forces than the Archons, but at the same time they are also “farther” from the manifested worlds, created from the “fabric” of the aeon Sophia. That is, with some caveats, it can be said that demons affect worlds and beings at the level of their “souls” and drives, whereas the Archons do so at the bodily level and incarnation conditions.

This is how the idea of two types of enslaving or disintegrative energy arises – malus and hyle, where the former is perceived as a “pathology of desires,” and the latter as a “pathology of manifestations.”

Accordingly, the more “vegetative” a life a person lives, the more they are under the Archons’ power (and therefore feed the Fomors and other inhabitants of the Interworld), but the less demons manipulate them; conversely, the higher the level of psychic activity, the more libido a person produces, the more active their Yetzer hara, and the freer they are from heimarmene.

Throughout the entire evolution of humanity (in the broad sense, as a level of mind, and not only the inhabitants of Earth), it periodically fluctuates between two poles: the more prosperous the material component of life becomes, the greater the share of energy flowing into the Interworld; at a certain moment, demons are activated to prevent the current into the qlippoth from being depleted, and they plunge humanity into chaos and war. This leads to a sharp increase in the production of psychic energy, greater outflows into the qlippoth, and a decrease in flows into the Interworld. At the same time, in the first, acute stages of crises, both currents increase – intense suffering and multiple deaths carry much energy both into the qlippoth and into the Interworld; however, if such a situation continues, humanity is exhausted or dies out, which, of course, is not beneficial to either group of predators. Therefore, more often the acute phase is replaced by a gradual normalization, and outflows rebalance until it again “tilts” in favor of the Archons, and then the whole cycle repeats. It is precisely in this oscillation that the stream of evolution is born: under the constant pressure of predators, beings and their minds constantly improve, preserving both themselves as instruments of the Absolute’s self-knowledge and “paying tribute” to their oppressors. The refusing struggle, of inner tone and tension, does not just halt development, but also leads to a rapid depletion of energy, and hence to both a personal and an evolutionary failure.

Thus, the influences of the predators complement each other; neither group alone would be able to cope with its hunger and would completely devour the available food source, and hence is forced to seek new worlds (which from time to time does happen). This illustrates the general principle of balance, which is maintained not only by the confrontation of “light” and “darkness,” but also within each of the poles.

At the present time, we are witnessing such a stage of instability, when, on the one hand, Archontic influences promote virtualization of life, and on the other, demonic forces are inspiring wars and outbreaks of violence. Whether humanity will find its new balance, whether it will survive or plunge into irreversible destruction in one of the poles depends on a large number of factors, including the evolutionary tendencies of the mind.

  1. Hello! A few questions have arisen on the subject: is an alternative path possible where consciousness can exit this dual system of pressure? Is there a state of consciousness that doesn’t fall under either of these forms of dependency, and what are its qualities? Can individual or collective human consciousness reach a level where it ceases to be dependent on this cycle, and if so, what principles are necessary for such an exit?

  2. Hello! In my opinion, an alternative path out of subjugation to predatory forces (kydemons and archons) is possible, but it requires not only an awareness of the nature of their influence but also a transition of consciousness to a qualitatively different mode of existence that is not subject to their powers. The main difficulty lies in the dual pressure: kydemons control the sphere of feelings, desires, and impulses, distorting attraction and repulsion, while the Archons control the realm of will, structures, and actions, extinguishing or mechanizing consciousness. In either of these states, a person becomes an ‘energy producer’ for predators. If they are passionate, impulsive, they are vulnerable to kydemons. They magnify desires, drive them to dependency, distorting the natural attraction towards knowledge and self-expression. If they are sluggish, apathetic, subjected to mechanistic models of existence, they fall under the rule of archons. They extinguish any aspirations, turning life into an unconscious cycle of work and consumption. This means that any habitual mode of conscious existence (sensory or active) leads to exploitation. Therefore, getting out requires transitioning to a completely new quality of being. Consciousness must cease to operate in a ‘consumer mode’, where it either thirsts and produces energy for predators or unconsciously functions in the mode of archontic mechanistic existence. To exit involvements in emotions (and the power of kydemons), it is beneficial to cease the automatic generation of energy through reactive states. This does not imply the suppression of emotions; rather, it entails developing the ability to recognize their nature and not becoming embroiled in provoked desires and fears. To break free from the automatic mode of existence (i.e., from the power of Archons), it is necessary to disrupt automatic life cycles (work-consumption-entertainment) through conscious attention to one’s path. This requires purposeful development of inner freedom, the ability to make conscious choices, not merely drifting on inertia. At the same time, since kydemons feed on feelings and archons on automatism and inertia, the alternative path lies in developing inner tone and an actively aware psyche. This is a path in which consciousness is not caught up in chaotic emotions but does not suppress them either, transforming them into creative energy. At the same time, it must not submit to external programs; it should act consciously, creating reality through directed acts of will. In other words, such consciousness does not remain dependent on cycles of passion and inertia but acts from the principle of Inner Fire (Higher Nous). This Path leads to the attainment of inner sovereignty, forming a flow of consciousness that does not surrender its energy to predators because it carries out transformation of energy within itself. However, as long as the consciousness plays in the paradigm of ‘reactions’ (either through emotions or automatic activities), it remains in the system of exploitation.
