The Dream Space

magic trans

We have already mentioned that dreaming, like other forms of limitations of consciousness (“tzimtzum”), shifts attention to a particular metaphysical region called in the tradition the Interworld. It is time now to examine the features of this Space from an ontological perspective.

For a start, let us once more try to define how and why the phenomenon of dreaming arises. It is well known that the primary driving force of the world is Desire (that is, the attraction of potentials toward their actualization) and its formed variant — Will. Hierarchies of desires and wills, in essence, create the hierarchy of levels of awareness — the worldly agents that carry out the actualization of the Absolute’s potentials.

In practice this means that every desire must be realized, since the world itself is the realization of the Desire of the Absolute. At the same time, because each desire must be realized in an environment where infinite numbers of desires of infinite numbers of beings are being actualized, it is clear that for the realization of a particular desire in a particular environment, realization may not be possible (more precisely, this possibility is blocked by the realization of another, stronger desire).

A contradiction arises: a desire must be realized, but cannot be realized. To resolve this contradiction, the infinite-dimensional structure of the cosmos comes into being. It follows that a desire that cannot be realized in one “world” will necessarily find a “world” in which it is possible. Thus a special conduit of consciousness — the “Dream Body” — arises in such a world.

Thus, at every moment of time (given the very conditionality of the category of time), any individual mind selects from the world’s potential richness, Telesmi, a specific set of properties and qualities necessary for the actualization of its potentials, and perceives that set as its reality. At the same time, depending on how much awareness (or, one could say, how many individual viewpoints) designates a given picture as its reality, the picture may be more or less stable, more or less energetically endowed.

Therefore, among the infinite number of worlds born of the necessity to realize desires, two sets form: The first set consists of “real” Worlds — those in which the actualization of the Absolute/Monads’ potentials takes place, and through which, consequently, the Great Flow of Power runs. These are worlds supported by a large number of individual streams of consciousness, engaged in manifold interactions within those pictures. It is precisely the numerous mutual influences that foster coordinated and directed evolution — that is, the translation of potential reality into the actual — that measure the “reality” of these worlds.

The second set comprises “virtual” Worlds — those in which desires are fulfilled without changing the being’s level of awareness of the being expressing those desires. These Worlds are not part of the Flow of Power, since they are sustained only by a small number of minds temporarily creating private pictures, and do not generate stable energy currents within themselves. Nevertheless, these worlds are, within their own frameworks, equally objective; they are characterized by their own laws of existence. The dreamer usually does not understand that he is dreaming, perceives the surroundings as reality, and in most cases cannot consciously influence the plot of the dream.

It is clear that this division is somewhat arbitrary, since it depends only on the “stability” of a picture, largely determined by the amount of awareness supporting it, and from an epistemological point of view there is no difference whether a desire is realized within the Great Flow of Power or outside it. Broadly speaking, the Great Flow of Power is a derivative of the mind, and therefore from the perspective of universal mind all worlds are identical. However, from the standpoint of the differentiated mind this division is significant, because it (the individual mind) preserves its continuity only within the Flow of Power, forming its bearers as part of the picture of the world in which its manifestation unfolds.

It is therefore unsurprising that Traditions emphasizing the macrocosmic mind (Hindus, Native Americans) can confidently assert that “You are That“, or “All is Dream and only It exists“. At the same time, the Western Tradition, rooted in the individual mind, makes a clear distinction between the “day” world and the world of “dreams”, understanding that quantitative differences in the stability of their pictures translate into qualitative differences in their possibilities.

Obviously, in this tradition the Dream World refers to the aggregate of virtual spaces brought into being by the striving to realize desires — to manifest certain possibilities, certain states. Since these worlds lack one of the components (a stable Flow of Power), they are seen as part of the Interworld’s conditional expanse.

However, a question arises — if the Dream Space is deprived of the Flow of Power, how can a dream itself grant power or strip it away? The Western Tradition’s answer is unequivocal: the dream itself cannot give or take power. Power is expended controlling a dream; it can be gained as a result of insights received in a dream; additionally, a dream can grant certain predators access to the dreamer’s mind. But all of these are derivatives of the dream, not its intrinsic properties.

In the Dream Space all impulses are realized. Every fleeting thought acquires a tangible form there. Every movement of consciousness assumes a concrete image, and it is precisely this process that is the task of dreaming. One must understand that all beings and entities, including those possessing an independent will, are drawn into a dream by the necessity of realizing some desire of the dreamer, and if the dreamer wishes to avoid predatory intrusion into his dreams, he must monitor desires that attract predators. It is exactly the tracking desires whose fulfillment weaves the dream of the dream that lies at the heart of the Western approach to controlling power within dreams.

  1. How can ‘stalking’ be named in terms of the Western tradition? As I understand it, ‘tracking desires, the realization of which weaves the fabric of dreams, and lies at the core of the Western approach to controlling power in dreams’ – is this from the realm of stalking? Tracking is the foundation; what other details exist in the Western tradition regarding control over power in general and over power in dreams in particular?

    • Control is just control. The Western tradition, as I have written many times, is very strongly accentuated on control. A magician studies themselves – their motives, movements, actions, desires – to separate their ‘own’ component from the one imposed from the outside. Contrary to popular belief, control is not limitation. It is merely the removal of external actors from the sphere of their motivations.

  2. Tell me, is it possible to have a situation where when traveling in dreams in various historical eras, for you, it’s just a dream (after all, anything can happen in a dream), but for the residents of the past, your appearance there (not dressed in the clothing of that time, but dressed in modern clothes and using technological devices from the future) is reality. Interestingly, those people in the past in my dreams addressed me specifically by name, knew what century I was from, and treated it quite adequately. And by the way, the hospitality was amazing) – it is reality. Just by chance, I came across articles about archaeological excavations: one talked about events from the 30 Years’ War in the 17th century (near Dunkirk), and the other about the events of the 18th century – the military conflict with Prussia during the reign of Catherine II. In both, there was talk of incredible finds in the archaeological layers of those eras – about the discovery (it’s just incredible!!!) of mobile phones. You know, I’m not joking, I am narrating seriously that I had dreams related to these historical events, and I even provided small consultations to avoid mistakes in history later to two historical figures (I won’t mention them). And in the 17th and 18th centuries (in my dreams), I had to use mobile devices of the Panasonic brand for quick communication during several successful military operations; these devices remained there. In my dreams, I knew for sure that their use was possible in the past but only for a very short period when a specific model of satellite crosses this territory (but already in our era), which specifically provides mobile communication. For a long time, I knew that these were just dreams, and nothing special. Yes, from 2001 to approximately 2004, I had a loss and theft, totaling 4 mobile devices from this company. But what was my state of ‘complete stupor!!!’ when around 2005, I stumbled upon an article about incredible historical finds in the periods I described. In the archaeological layers of the 17th and 18th centuries in those places, archaeologists in 2004 supposedly found almost decomposed remains of unknown devices-artifacts. During expert examinations, it was concluded that these were mobile devices from the company and model I indicated, manufactured approximately between 1999-2003. What is this? Frankly, I felt unwell at that moment… Can you say something or comment on such situations?

  3. …whoever meets the maiden-warrior named Ferolla in their dreams, I ask you to pass on that I am waiting for her…

  4. Enmerkar, both the article and the situation described below are interesting. The possibility of correcting past, present, and future events through the dream world is unlikely to be controlled by the person themselves. Probably, it is the use of this individual by Higher Forces with such abilities, because such is great responsibility and danger. Yes, it is interesting. Har, well, I am Ferolla the maiden-warrior, what did you expect?

  5. It happened to me… about 20 years ago 🙂 I woke up, shaved, washed up, went to work… I woke up, washed up, shaved, work, quarrel with the boss… I woke up again, washed, peed, went to… work… I was amazed…, but woke up, washed up, shaved, went… I woke up… I became horrified, woke up… I accepted it… This morning lasted an eternity. But suddenly, everything ended. I actually couldn’t believe for a month that I was, once again, in my reality. What could that mean:)))))))?

  6. I know of a case when two different dreamers encountered the same woman-warrior in their dreams. She referred to herself as Jelly.

  7. Thank you.
Is potential, realized first in the virtual and then in the real world, called déjà vu?
And why can’t the same potential be realized simultaneously in two worlds?
Or are you talking about the worlds through which Power flows?

  8. So, dreams help to realize one’s will. This is the creation of one’s virtual myth-parallel world. Only it is short-lived and serves merely to fulfill the desire. The question arises, are conscious dreams necessary? After all, consciousness is not sincerity and truth. This will already be a controlled part, but not subconsciously desired. It is merely associative.

  9. If predators have access to virtual power, then this “power” can be used as a trap, and by using conscious dreaming, one can bury them.

  10. I disagree with the concept that the dream world exists for fulfilling desires that are challenging to realize in reality.
And that this dream world consists of the desires of many beings.
From my point of view, an ordinary person absolutely does not control their desires, constantly wanting something and striving for something. Our reality resembles a mountain, where the peak is the conscious everyday world (although it is not conscious for everyone). So, maintaining oneself in this everyday world, which we call reality, is a complex task; we are taught this for years, and even despite this training, we slip into sleep. As I mentioned before, not everyone has a conscious everyday world.
Some perceive it better, others worse. The lives of some are hardly different from a delirious dream.
The world of dreams itself is a limit where our everyday consciousness rests. That is, at the moment of sleep, we do not hold ourselves at the peak of the mountain. But we continue to desire. On autopilot, and since many things seem important to us. And this is reflected in dreams and in lucid dreams.
So, states of realities in dreams, their multidimensionality, from my point of view, are not born of desires. They exist on their own. We simply slide into them, tired of the mundane cares. But since we are fascinated and absorbed by them, we find them there and, rather, drag them with us.

  11. Tell me, please, is the essence of continuity, potential actualization, and “reality” that, roughly speaking, a certain skill cannot be lost, but control over it can be lost? Is the loss of control the loss of power?

  12. Good day! The question is currently relevant, I think, not just for me regarding what place the virtual space of the Internet occupies in the magical myth today. Is there anything distinctive in this undoubtedly existing reality of the World Wide Web from the general laws of the macrocosm?
Sometimes, it may create the impression that enthusiasm for virtual reality diverts attention away from psychocosm and activity in the external world.

    • The virtual network space, in essence, is no different from other virtual spaces, however, it is gaining increasing energetic potency due to the support of a huge number of people. As long as the supporting consciousnesses are divided into groups, gaming egrigors, and other separate collectives, this space actually remains virtual, but as these groups grow, the Network gradually transforms into alternative realities with its laws, possibilities, and dangers. And, of course – with its predators. I do not think that any special distractors will appear in the virtual space of the Network, different from those inherent to any dream, and their danger increases only due to the easier accessibility of network virtuality compared to, say, the virtuality of a conscious dream.

  13. Hello! If possible, please answer the question. How does consciousness return to the reality from which it emerged into the Inter-space? Is this action the so-called silver thread? And is a ‘final’ transition to the dream space possible, obtaining a denser body there? Is this related to lethargic sleep or partial/complete ‘madness’?

    • “Yav'” is essentially a collective dream, and it is the ‘massiveness’ that gives this ‘dream’ stability and energy. Therefore, as long as we feel human, as long as we are connected to the rest of humanity – we wake up in yav’. Accordingly, losing such a connection – we can get stuck in one of the layers of the Inter-space.
