The Great Stream of Power

jahsah_cosmic-connection

We have already mentioned the notion “Great Stream of Power” many times, treating it as a given, yet different schools understand “Stream of Power” differently. Most often the term is taken to mean life force, that flows through all living beings (prana, qi), which somewhat narrows the concept.

In reality, the Great Stream of Power is not only the “animating” activity of nature; it is Nature itself in its constant change. However, even this definition may suggest that one is speaking of the Immanent Face of the Absolute, the Great Mother of Worlds.

It must be understood that the being of the Great Mother as a principle is potential; it belongs more to the realm of epistemology than ontology, and it is convenient for understanding the foundations of the universe, but that is not our subject here. The Great Stream of Power, however, is an actual reality; indeed, the only reality of the universe.

As we have already mentioned, the universe can be regarded as the product of the interaction of two Primal Principles — the Fatherly, active, expansive, and the Motherly, passive, attractive. The essence of the cosmic process is the eternal acceptance of the Great Father by the Great Mother. The manifestation of the universe is the result of this acceptance. It is precisely the process of interpenetration of the Primal Principles that is the Great Stream of Power, which thus includes both the active, spreading nature of the Great Father and the passive, receptive essence of the Mother.

An important consequence of this property is the polarization of the Stream, its binary nature. The dual nature of the Stream is reflected in all its manifestations, as in all natural phenomena, which thus constitute the perceived part of the Great Stream of Power.

Mythological correspondences of the Great Stream are numerous. Alongside perceptions of its individual aspects (such as the aforementioned ideas of prana and qi), its holistic nature was often recognized. The first such holistic perception of the Stream was the ancient Egyptian conception of Hu and Sia, the double power of the gods. Hu is the active component of this power, its creative activity, while Sia is the passive, receptive component. Hu and Sia were conceived as inseparable and were always mentioned together.

baphomet

The Middle Ages, having developed and reinterpreted Alexandrian ideas, personified the Great Stream in the image of Baphomet, “Father of the Temple of Peace for All People.” Such a personal perception of the Stream made it easier to grasp its dual nature not only in the sense of uniting expansiveness (“solve”) and attraction (“coagula”), but also as both source and, simultaneously, devourer of all life.

Both personal and impersonal conceptions of the Stream can be useful for understanding its nature and the character of its manifestation. The idea of the “Supreme Predator,” also characteristic of Latin Americans (“Eagle“), allowed them to create an astonishingly beautiful concept of “liberation.”

However, viewing the Stream either as source or devourer of life highlights only one aspect of its great duality, which forms its synthetic nature.

  1. How does a person relate to the Flow—are they a part of it or something else?

  2. What is the Eagle doing with awareness at the moment of death? Does he take all experience and consciousness, resetting us, forcing us to live here anew… like milk cows in a barn? Or am I wrong? Are there any ways to deceive this “supreme predator” without giving him consciousness? What specifically can be done before death?

  3. If Baphomet nullifies consciousness, how is it possible for Tibetan lamas and Karmapas to have conscious rebirth?
Allegedly, such techniques are available at higher degrees in the DEIR school. What is this? A fiction?

    • Hello. The answer is sufficiently present, for example, in classical Buddhist texts. There is more than one way to transfer consciousness. In the interval between how much a living being belongs to consciousness and to what extent consciousness belongs to it (in a brief moment of incarnation).

  4. In my opinion, one of the problems of poor understanding is precisely the personal perception of the Flow of Force.

Human consciousness, deeply convinced of the discreteness of the world, instantly draws a malicious hyper-demon of cosmic scale, enjoying the devouring of the consciousness of the unfortunate and powerless sufferers, unable to change anything fundamentally; this, in turn, is a colorful illustration of the psychological complex Predator-Victim, deeply implanted in the Unconscious.
Metaphorically speaking – the human mind, largely accustomed to relying on the scientific approach and armed with a scalpel (a tool of separation), consistently strives to cut a frog into organs, lay them before itself on the table, name them each with its name, study them under a microscope, and so on – such an approach generates many volumes of wise information, which, unfortunately, does not allow one to realize the functioning of this frog AS A WHOLE – in a state of life, and not after death))) That is to say, I am trying to express that the approach itself is one-sided and does not encompass the phenomenon AS A WHOLE.

The habitual functioning program of consciousness ignores the fact that ‘Baphomet’, like ‘the Eagle’ – has neither name, nor body, nor location in space.

The Great Flow of Force is Abstract, Impersonal, Boundless, but even these words are a miserable attempt to describe and define it))))

To use the words of the author of this blog: ‘Baphomet is not a separately existing entity but a form of existence of the Great Flow of Force, i.e., the universal ‘inside-out’ – The Inside-out of the consciousness functioning process. Not some kind of evil Baphomet, but ‘our own’ consciousness prefers such an underdeveloped and senselessly repetitive Form of Functioning, Action Image – and this happens only because this program – this dynamic form (process) we were taught in early childhood when we began to become aware of ourselves…

  5. As I understand these two fundamental principles: the Fatherly, active, expansive one, and the Motherly, passive, attractive one, why don’t they simply collapse and annihilate each other? What is it that keeps them divided into two polarities? Otherwise, the entire world process would end before it even started! So all of this is spread out over duration (“time”).

    • “Well, that’s what the Third Force exists for – the Guardian of the Threshold, Veles/Nachash, the universal force of repulsion and division.”

      • I actually forgot, haha)) I’m just interested in the myth of creation described in the Bible, where the Creator separates Heaven and Earth, thus forming an abyssal space/empty expanse, Chaos. This space is the repository for all that exists (a great flow of power). There are many versions of this. For example, there is a special version where the myth speaks of the primordial mass of fused heaven and earth, within which Pangu is born. In the ‘Dao De Jing’, Laozi talks about how in Chaos, before Heaven and Earth arose, the formless Dao is born, which can be considered the mother of the universe.

  6. Well, as I understand it, the universe (also known as the world tree) exists according to dialectical unfolding, and it represents a spiral. I am then interested in the symbol of the Ouroboros, which signifies (as I see it) a collapsing cycle, also a linear entropic time of Chronos. If we take the interpretation of Don Juan, is this the universe of the predator? And have we fallen out of this flow of the power of the Absolute? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pOxoxXMDSzU&t=569s
