Why Does Wind Blow in the Interworld?

Interworld

Anyone who, in one way or another, has perceived the Interworld has noticed that a strong wind is constantly blowing there. Since it is strange to ascribe the properties of terrestrial weather to the Elements, the question arises: what is the nature of this wind and what explains its strength and persistence.

To answer this question, let us recall what we discussed about the space between worlds.
We said that this conditionally continuous space arises in consciousness when it cannot form a stable energy pattern corresponding to a coherent world.
In other words, the Interworld is a world deprived of one or more of its fundamental properties. For example, if perception of our world lacks the element Fire (or Water or another), then we would perceive the Interworld. Another example: when awareness shifts from one stable state (world) to another, there inevitably comes a moment when one world is no longer perceived, while the other is not yet perceived. Such a state is also the Interworld. The paradox is that to our mind the space formed by any reduction in perceptual elements appears continuous, and in the Interworld a transition from one region to another — for example, from the city Salamander to the city Undine (from Phineas to Murias) — is not accompanied by a leap of consciousness, as when moving from world to world, but occurs smoothly and continuously, like traveling within a single world.

Returning to the wind, it causes considerable trouble to the Interworld’s inhabitants, destroying their cities and homes. Clearly, it has nothing to do with the element Air, the forces of which are concentrated only in Gorias.

The nature of this wind arises from the Interworld’s own properties. Because this space has no laws of its own, it is highly chaotic, and it is precisely those eruptions of the destabilizing influence of the Unmanifested seeping into the Interworld that are perceived as wind. The fact is that, unlike a stable world, in the Interworld the force of the threshold that separates the cosmos (the manifested) from chaos (the unmanifested) is far weaker. This chaos results partly from some worlds drifting away from the Great Flow of Power, and partly from those inhabitants’ desire to destroy stable worlds to seize access to their stores of power.

It is therefore clear that the Interworld’s wind is purely destructive, having no positive aspects (aside from its role in the cosmic system), aimed at creating breaches in worlds letting power flow into the Qliphoth.

  1. I realized where I had ended up today only by recalling this article. It seemed to me that the wind in the Interworld is quite uneven and reacts to the Force almost instantly. Transforming from piercing and powerful to hurricane, gathering debris and other trash from the “ground” and rushing with this stream to the source of the Force. In all this, it was the Wind, not the broken figures of inhabitants, seemingly aimlessly floating between the structures, that evoked a feeling of danger emanating from it.
