The Mind in Action
The Great Spirit, the primordial absolute fullness and perfection, manifesting one of its possibilities as lack and differentiation, realizes this possibility through self-knowledge within the infinite totality of its aspects. This occurs by the manifestation and subsequent neutralization of the binary mind-being (the “transcendent” and “immanent” faces of the One) through the interpenetration of its poles.
Thus there arises a threefold manifestation of the Spirit – 1) Absolute fullness, lying beyond unity and duality, existence and non-existence; 2) the self-knowing reality, manifesting as one consciousness pervading one being; 3) Differentiated reality, manifesting in cognition as an infinite number of subjects of an infinite number of objects.
In traditional descriptions, this manifestation appears as the initial unfolding of the Tetragrammaton or the structure of the Upper Tree of Life: the Unknowable–Fullness – Father and Mother (Point-Yod-He). At the same time, the self-knowledge of the Absolute in the totality of its aspects is expressed as a gradual process of establishing correspondence between its cognizing and knowable elements, which manifests as the “lower” part of the Tree or the second part of the Tetragrammaton (Vav-He”). It is clear that Yod-He manifests only as Vav-He. That is, the cognition of Matter by the Mind of the Spirit occurs through manifested existence. In other words, Keter is only one of the possibilities contained in Ain-Sof, Aba ve Ima (Chokhmah and Binah) is the mode of manifestation of Keter, and Zeir Anpin and Malkuth are the forms of existence of Aba ve Ima.
Note that the three manifestations we speak of are essentially one and indivisible, and the very attempt to describe them is highly relative and provisional.
So we can consider three levels, three aspects of Reality available to us: essential, aware, and active, inseparable from one another, and equally real and at the same time illusory. Put differently, the essence of everything is a single inexpressible fullness possessing the quality of pure mind, which manifests itself in actions.
By actions we mean the process of the active self-knowledge of Reality, the process of the mind entering into contact with being, the process of establishing correspondence between the psychocosm and the macrocosm. An individual knowable aspect becomes available to cognition only when it manifests itself, and the mode of such manifestation is interaction with other aspects; accordingly, these aspects are called “energies” (which literally means ‘activity’) or “dharmas” (“orders”).
This is precisely the sense in which one should understand the words: “God has no other eyes but yours, God has no other hands but yours.” From the standpoint of actual being, the existence of differentiated reality proves to be the form of manifestation of that which is above existence and non-existence. In terms of “existence,” there is no other “God” than the one that grows in forests, flows in rivers, runs with herds of animals, and looks through the eyes of people. All the infinite diversity of the manifested world is the way and the means by which the world knows itself. Yet this does not mean that the manifested world is all that is available to the mind. Immersing itself inward, into its deep ground, it discovers that behind all this multiplicity lies pure and unclouded mind, and behind that — something utterly inexpressible, a presence beyond description but accessible to experience.
Manifesting itself on all three levels — as pure essence, pure awareness, and pure action — the Great Spirit realizes one of its possibilities – the possibility of manifestation. For the Magus such a vision shapes his mode of existence as a being striving to purify his actions and his awareness and to realize that aspect of the One that is manifested in him in the most accessible way through actions, by establishing interactions between mind and the greatest number and variety of energies available. It is in this way that the Magus accomplishes his original task as an aware being, as the gaze by which the One looks at itself.

“For the magician, such a vision shapes his way of existence as a unit striving to purify his actions and his consciousness and express that aspect of the One manifested in him in the most accessible way through actions, through establishing interaction of consciousness with the maximum accessible number and forms of energies.” What should one do if these actions are blocked by other singular manifestations of the Absolute (other people), which, going through their experiences (more materially-egoistical) hinder the passage of yours?
Simply put, a magician should not strive for so-called spiritual comfort because interaction with the maximum variety of energies certainly breaks this comfort. And I think a magician should consciously break this comfort along with their habits. But it is also necessary to learn to understand that suffering and pain come from the rejection of these energies. But when has the growth of awareness occurred without pain?
What do you understand by spiritual comfort? Should a magician not be happy?
Emotional comfort.. it’s rather the absence of contradictions. But for a mage, this might mean also a stop… a sedating of vigilance.. relaxation, if one gets caught in this state of comfort, it soothes. The blog author wrote about this.
This is guidance for action, passed through oneself. Essentially, it is both a means of self-liberation and a way of exhausting that experience which must be understood. Here, some wrote about how to deal with those we dislike for some reason or those who blatantly provoke. The option of avoidance is not always the best, I will say from my experience. Here one can swing a sword and slam a door, and around the corner, one meets the same. Probably, no matter how you turn it, only deep understanding frees us from such characters in the Game called Life in a human body 🙂 But that is the Wow, to make the interaction of such different energies more substantive… And yes, liberation from attachments is maximally effective when interacting with the world, not fleeing from it. I write as I feel, though I still have not managed to scare all of my cockroaches and not all my subpersonalities are trained 8)
I would recommend removing aggression from consciousness. If you’ve noticed the tools of influence directed at humans, you will see that everything is created to instill Evil (destruction). Getting rid of aggression in consciousness is not that simple. Only after that will creation be effective.
Numen, what do you say when meeting a person who has succeeded in building through the manifestations of destructive emotions? That is, his true degree seems to differ from the degree of his manifestations, by which he deliberately flattens others. But the unity for himself he has yet to discover, the commonality has not yet revealed itself to him.
