Runes as Vectors

The great flow of Power, passing through the structuring mind, acquires two important characteristics: directionality and anchorage. In other words, it is the volitional consciousness as a cosmic principle that creates the vector-vortex duality of Power, and thereby allows one to operate that Power.

We have already said more than once that the vectors along which the Power of awareness flows are, in general, described by the principle of the Runes.

Each vector is described by two characteristics: its length and direction.

If we speak of the vectors of the Power of awareness, it is clear that the length of each vector depends on the awareness itself, which is expressed in the traditional maxim: «the power of the Runes depends on the eril». Potentially the lengths of the vectors of Power are infinite, and which part of this infinite field becomes actualized is, broadly speaking, determined by the degree of development of awareness.

Regarding direction, depending on the level of the perceiving consciousness, different sets of vectors may be available to it. In particular, the human mind, based on the quaternary principle, divides the surrounding cosmos into eight sectors, and accordingly its field can be described by eight vectors emanating from a single center — that is, the Kolovorot.

We also know that, by virtue of the threefold nature of the human being, the Kolovorot as a collection of vector elements is perceived threefold, producing eight triads, which found expression in the form of the 24-rune Futhark.

From the foregoing it is clear that each Rune describes the direction in which Power moves from the potential undifferentiated center to one of the actual channels of its manifestation.

For example, Fehu describes the transition from potential agitation to actual expansion; Uruz — from potential flow to actual outflow; Turisaz — from potential protection to actual counteraction; Ansuz — from a potential plan to actual speech; Raidho — from potential unity to actual reunification; Kenaz — from potential differentiation to actual separation; and so on.

Accordingly, any transition of Power in a given direction is described by the corresponding Rune, interpreted at one of its levels. For example, the proliferation of rabbits in Australia can be described by the Rune Fehu; a geyser or an avalanche — by Uruz; a cobra strike or deploying car airbags — by Turisaz; gravity — by Raidho; and laundry — by Hagalaz.

Understanding the direction of each vector allows one not only to more precisely map one’s Myth, but also to effectively enact the flow of one’s mind, and thus to expand it.

  2. Greetings, Enmerkar, could you please tell me how effective, i.e. reasonable, in your opinion, is it to conduct a similarity through the ratio between the 24 Hebrew glyphs and the 24 runes of the Futhark? Best regards, thank you for the article, Marina.

  3. And what about the ratio between the 24 Greek letters? The rune PERT fits the description of the Greek Omega from another perspective.:)

    I have such questions:
    Are the 24 runes and 24 hours in a day interconnected or is it just a coincidence?
    How do these 24 vectors of the Flow of Power manifest in the human body, specifically in a material form?
    (What is there 24 of in a person?)

  5. Hello! The examples of directing power with runes are unclear. Or does it work at the level of intuition? Turisaz – wall (boundary|protection) > directed force (counteraction)? Or do these descriptions need to be sought in the whirl?

    • Hello.
      Although Runes are a product of Inspiration, they are accessible for logical understanding, so it is useful to know for their description: 1) the name and its meaning (for the ancient Scandinavians), 2) graphic structure, 3) place in the overall system.
