Ritual of the Rift
Most of our discussions of Magic have implicitly assumed that it is aimed primarily at the Magus himself — his Way, his Power, his Wisdom. In other words, one might get the impression that what matters most is that Magic occurs primarily within the practitioner. And this, of course, is largely true.
At the same time, a whole range of rituals are aimed not only, and even not so much, at the operator himself but also at the other participants.
One of the most important groups of such rites is the Rituals of the Rift.
The task of these rituals is to provide their participants with the opportunity to interact with a reality usually separated from them by the threshold of perception.
Ancient rites that retain shamanic features — such as the Wild Hunt, the Vision Quest, the search for an Animal of Power, and even Ceremonial Magic in its disinterested form — are aimed precisely at overcoming the Threshold, and not only by the practitioner but also by his companions.
For the operator, such rituals mean that by guiding other minds across the Rift the Magus opens new possibilities for them and thus joins the Flow of Evolution from which he himself draws Power. At the same time, of course, this places great responsibility on him for the fate of those who cross the Threshold with his help, so it is very important to select ritual participants with the utmost care, judging their readiness for such an experience.
For the participants, the meaning of a Ritual of the Rift is that they receive a certain Surge of Power without thereby incurring a Power debt; in other words, they are granted the capacity to desire development. Let us emphasize: not the ability to develop, but the ability to desire development — that is, Rituals of the Rift only prepare participants to create within themselves a space able to receive Power later. It is clear that participation in such a ritual often becomes a Point of No Return, since the experience gained will no longer effectively remove the option to go back. Accordingly, a ritual participant must also carefully consider beforehand whether he needs an experience capable of disrupting the orderly course of his life.
Again, note that the main events of Rituals of the Rift occur outside the participants: for the operator, the role is guiding others across the Rift, while for the participants the Power that helps them cross the Threshold originates in another mind — the operator’s.
This feature makes Rituals of the Rift among the most complex and dangerous, because during such external actions there is a great danger of intervention by hostile forces not only from the depths of the Psychocosmos but also from outside it, and therefore preparation for these rituals must be done with the greatest care.

Your articles are very relevant and timely within 24 hours, i.e., they appear for me very at the right moment. I don’t know what to attribute this to…
A question arises: in the summer campaign, if it takes place, is such an event planned? Although, there is little hope)
All the Circle of Veles and its parts represent such a Ritual of the threshold.
What gives a push of Power to someone who already has it?
Those who already have Power do not need a push.
Good day, Enmerkar!
The last paragraph states: “…therefore, preparation for these rituals must also be a subject of meticulous execution.”
Could you, at least briefly, say something about this preparation? Or what elements does it include?
Thank you in advance!
Preparation for crossing the Threshold includes a thorough inventory of the available Psychocosmos, at least its superficial layers – so that any alien penetration that might occur there does not go unnoticed. Another important part of preparation is the consolidation of Power, its maximum concentration, necessary to maintain the selfhood in an alien environment since such an environment naturally tends to assimilate foreign energy, which means there is a danger of dissolution, destruction of the being.
The best way to check Moscow for ‘diversants’ is to take a zero-five to the wounded chest and then, there too, from a liter of strong beer (I have a one-and-a-half ‘Hunting’) – if nothing fatal socially and physically happened, then advanced guessing on a plate is quite possible))) All other types of audits can be discarded, because they are like kindergarten IMHO)))
p.s. on an empty stomach
p.p.s dangerous to life
I’m afraid that after such a ‘check’, besides ‘guessing on a saucer’, no other rituals are better to conduct
I’m saying that with such persecution, all the ‘cockroaches’ and frightening ‘monsters’ from the deepest and unexplored geographical areas of the subconscious jump out into the light of day – just keep track of them honestly and classify them the next day) with the goal of further detailed hunting and extermination or taming)) If this is not done, then ‘beyond’ this wonderful beast will gnaw its owner to the bones, and only scraps will fly into the corners)
And it’s not worth experimenting on the day of execution, unless it’s on a plate… there it’s like ‘devil, devil, devil, bring me the spirit of Leo Tolstoy,’ and he says ‘the key to life is in my hands u-u-u-u…!!!’ By the way, this can also be quite creepy; in our childhood, once I blew out a candle at someone’s request, I almost messed myself… it happened)))))
I understand this and even agree. But such ‘persecution’ destroys consciousness itself.
) Anyway, it’s not a diamond path) Some ‘practices’ enhance the effect by attracting a professional demon fighter))) In the folk, they call them the wife of an alcoholic) Such a tandem, IMHO, can seriously accelerate joint evolutionary development. I read somewhere that similar ‘magical’ families close the gaps in ‘hellish’ spaces, which is why we all breathe more freely))) In general, has anyone noticed that bitter drunks usually become very kind and nice people?)
Regarding rituals in principle and the Threshold Rituals (as you describe them) in particular, it seems to me that an ‘inventory’ is always needed – at least to realize the starting and ‘finish’ moment – in other words, why you are ‘starting’ and what you should achieve. This is if the ritual action is done by the magician for himself for further movement along the Path. That’s how I understand it. Well, the fact that any thoughtless action can lead to highly undesirable consequences is obvious. I’ll ask one question – isn’t it better for most rituals, including this one, to be conducted alone, so that ‘newbies’ do not suffer (unless it’s festive)?
Threshold rituals are originally intended to be social actions; they have their meaning and purpose in this.
I have this voluminous comment:

Bra.
A representative of the Rose line told me the legend about the Keepers of the seals of Shemhamforash. When Moses ascended the mountain, 72 others ascended with him, guarding Moses’s seclusion on top of the mountain, so that no one from below would disturb him.
In the summer of 2010, I was lucky enough to be one of the participants in the Threshold Ritual in the Crimean mountains.
The social orientation of the ritual cannot be leveled.
I encountered a phenomenon at the exit like ‘if I knew where I would fall, I would have put hay.’
I came to the conclusion that I already know where I will fall, so I bought myself a double bed, and my mom put a double mattress under me.
In a big city like Moscow, this is especially reflected as society begins in the family.
Respect to the master.
Wow!! How informative. Thank you.
