Purification of Intention

magus

A Magus’s life is a highly conscious and ordered ritual, in which each action has a clearly defined meaning not so much as a means to achieve some goal as an autonomous and intrinsically valuable act.

At the same time, causal links weave these actions into a single chain – the Magus’s Way – whose links are mutually influencing and interdependent. Thus the effectiveness, i.e., the success of this Way consists of two components: on the one hand, the Way is always focused on the present moment, with peak activity in the present and the degree of immersion in the present moment determines the depth of awareness; on the other hand, the Way is directional and goal-oriented, having a clear end goal.

Each link of the Way – a realization – is not only valuable as the ripe result of previous actions, but also as the foundation for further development of consciousness; therefore, the effectiveness of each realization determines the significance of the whole Way.

way

In turn, the success of a realization also depends on two components: awareness of its necessity as a ripe link in the Way and the wholeness of the intention directing that realization.

In other words, a Magus must not only see and understand which action is ripe for him at the present moment and which action is relevant and required, he must also be able to perform that action in a complete and impeccable form that it will provide the correct impulse for further movement.

Both of these components – the ability to perceive the vird and the ability to form an intention – are equally important for the effective development of a Magus, and teaching them is the essence of magical education.

At the same time, forming an integral intention is often hindered, especially at early stages of development, by the large number of streams that occupy the mind. To establish a stable direction within this seething stream, it is necessary to clarify the primary goal and focus all mental resources on it. And this process, of course, has the eightfold structure of any harmonious realization. In fact, we are speaking of creating a field of intention, and therefore this action is traditionally considered by analogy with preparing a new plot for growing a crop.

witch

The first stage – purification. It is necessary to remove all obstacles – stones, trees, and so on.  The mind must be attuned to the understanding that the action which has ripened for execution is important and that all external interferences must be eliminated. Forming an intention requires appropriate external conditions – location and surroundings, etc.

At the next stage comes transformation, the turning of a chaotic field of possibilities into an ordered field of potential for the given action. A patch of wild nature becomes a cultivated field, ploughed and tended. The mind creates and shapes the idea of the realization, preparing itself for its enactment.

While preparing the mind, additional difficulties and obstacles may become apparent that impede the formation and further realization of the intention, and therefore the next stage is cutting away – the removing of roots and buried stones, and the like uncovered while ploughing. The mind must exclude distractions that scatter attention and pull it away from forming a whole, unified intention.

Only after removing all obstacles does substitution occur – the seeds of wild plants are removed and replaced by the seeds of what will be cultivated. The mind must grasp the necessity of the realization being formed. The firm thought: «it must be so» plants the fruitful seeds of intention.

magus

However, these seeds cannot be left to chance; their germination and development must be controlled. This control and the constant redistribution of the mind’s resources toward the forming intention are necessary so that the young shoots are not smothered by weeds or eaten by pests.

Seedlings must not only be protected; they must be fertilized, if necessary hilled up, tied, and so on, helping the maximum number of their potentials to manifest. Therefore, the next necessary stage – engaging key elements – means focusing the mind’s effort to differentiate those aspects of the forming intention that should be manifested to the greatest degree.

Finally, the intention must be given time to ripen; it needs to be sustained for a while so that all the engaged forces of the mind group together in the correct way. Sustaining does not mean a delay in realization; it means consolidation of forces and a brief “calm before the storm,” a final aiming before action.

Only after this can the intention unfold, be expressed, and be clearly manifested in the surrounding environment. Observance of the preceding conditions makes the unfolding of the intention whole, harmonious, and irresistible, ensuring its effectiveness and fruitfulness.

choice

Consider the stages noted above by way of a concrete example. As before, take the process of writing this post. The first stage will be — to set aside other tasks, remove the cat from the keyboard, wipe the dust from the monitor; in other words, prepare all necessary external conditions. Then — one must gather one’s thoughts, consider what and why to write and who it’s for. In the course of this reflection, additional difficulties and distractions may arise that should be excluded from your focus. At the next stage, one must understand that writing the post is the action that must be performed now, and then try not to be distracted by emerging distractions. Considering examples and terminology constitutes the engaging stage, and a minute of preparation before a blank text editor screen is the sustaining stage. Thus, if all obstacles and distractions are removed and the mind is directed toward this realization, the unfolding of that realization occurs — in this case, the writing of the post.

It is clear that all the stages considered above are rather conventional and in reality may be difficult to distinguish; nevertheless, they are all naturally necessary as elements of the mindful formation of intention, and by tracing this formation we can always discover them.

For the Magus, a clear understanding of what he does and how he does it is the most important condition of the overall awareness of his Way, and therefore of the speed and effectiveness of the realization of his mind’s potentials.

  1. Hello! As for me, the most difficult section goes up to the stage of mutual replacement. After accepting the intention as achieved in the future (and happening now, without forgetting about the preceding stages), pests and weeds are no longer such an obstacle, although they are probably the most painful part of ‘germination’. But their influence is too obvious and is perceived as something unavoidable, so it remains only to accept as a given that pests will still interfere and try to minimize resource selection.

  2. I thought about it, and please tell me, are ‘nested intentions’ possible? That is, a person has a desire, but for its realization, other conditions are necessary, an environment, and accordingly, he begins to form an intention with the preparation of the field. And it turns out that the first stage – cleansing – also requires intention for successful realization, and the person begins to formalize it. It turns out that he essentially steps away from his initial intention for a moment (leaving it as a shell) and creates another (inside him) to prepare the necessary conditions. On the one hand, the first cannot be successfully completed without the second, but on the other hand, one can lose the initial fervor, as it seems to me, one cannot form two intentions simultaneously, as they say ‘if you chase two hares, you won’t catch one.’

    • Desire that requires preparation for its realization is an unripe action. Accordingly, it will only become relevant after the necessary conditions are achieved, and its own intention includes the necessity of additional realizations, so at a sufficient level of awareness, there is no contradiction – a sequential realization occurs.

  3. Hello! Just recently, I spoke with a wise person about increasing efficiency. How to increase the efficiency of realizations? – The example with the post is certainly good, but the person will write the post himself. And how to increase efficiency when other people are involved, when circumstances may change unexpectedly? – Here, a person has realized the need for realization, formed a holistic intention, manifested it into the surrounding environment, and started execution, and efficiency = 0% – what did he do wrong? – we talked about this question almost all evening, but we did not find a logically substantiated answer. However, on the other hand – from a completely illogical and irrational side, there exists Intuition, Signs, some Infallible Action – impulsive, of course, and not verbalized, but precise, one hundred percent accurate. Uncatchable by reason, however 🙂

  4. Hello! I don’t know if this relates specifically to realizations as a ritual, but as a personal way of acting, I find a more intuitive, one might say a somewhat contemplative approach helps me more – to catch the interconnections, tune in but not close off, catch the right vector, a certain flow of events and maximize connection with it, without focusing on a specific result, as if not plowing the field, but finding an already growing garden. 🙂 I may have misunderstood your post, but a farmer’s approach seems a rough volitional action towards the environment and should generate almost equal opposition (roughly speaking, the more you plow the land, the faster it grows with weeds) and takes much more strength, as it is much more effective to go in step with the World than to fight it, and miracles in life may simply need a little space and attention in already occupied sowing territory. And it is good if this is an attempt to grow wheat in the steppe, but it could also be cacti in the tundra 🙂

  5. Intention does not work if it is not coordinated with the world. And it is even good that it does not work, because intention, realized outside anyone, will confuse everything, and it may not be visible in the foreseeable future, but usually it is visible, but simply not identified as consequences. And no inspiration is involved here.

  6. I agree with Eiol, it is easier for me to negotiate with the World than to break it to fit myself. I declared my intention, and follow the signs, avoiding destructive flows, and replacing the less powerful ones with more effective ones. (however, sometimes there are whirlpools, and here everything depends on the strength you can control 🙂 )

  7. Interesting, Enmerkar, have you ever cultivated the land by hand?
Usually, we draw pictures that reflect ourselves.
For the farmer, the land can yield a rich harvest, or it may leave him with nothing. But the ‘weed’ always gets everything from the earth every year. Everything necessary for its effective existence. Because where it grows – is Its Place. If you uproot it today, tomorrow it will grow back as an even stronger, more powerful, and faster-growing sprout. This land has absorbed many of its seeds over the years, each waiting for its moment.
If you pull out a second weed – a third will come, and so on, to infinity. An eternal war – between man and ‘the land’ that he cultivates.

    • The question is not directed at me, so I will answer another part of the text. A weed is still a weed. It does not grow where it belongs, but where it can feed itself, while hindering the seeds growing nearby by taking most of the nutrients from them, blocking their access to sunlight, and also emitting harmful substances into the soil. I think it is not worth romanticizing a simple usurpation.

      • Although you did not answer the first question, you answered it. Your personal experience shows that there is no romance in this war – in the process of opposition between man and nature – the war, the battle – is exhausting in essence, and even victories do not always bring joy, as their price can be too high. From experience, you know that mutual replacement is never perfect, which is why you accept the presence of weeds and pests as a given.
        __
Sergey, what if we look at the example metaphorically? – The ‘farmer’ is opposed to ‘the land’, and the ‘weed’ is united with ‘the land’.
        __
‘I’ grow (consciousness develops) where the ‘soil, land’ with which ‘I’ is connected in a Unity that suits me (suitable external conditions – place, environment, etc.), but ‘I’ fight for the opportunity to grow, to develop (try to force it with strength to give me what I want) with ‘the land’ that is opposed to me, with which nothing unites me except My desire for expansion. – This is also a kind of attempt at unity :), just a different path. Different ‘I’s – different paths.

        • Perhaps I just do not quite understand what you mean by this word. I won’t be lazy to repeat that for me a weed is a weed, that which hinders the growth of crops in every possible way, even if it is necessary for the selection of the strongest sprouts. Of course, it is up to you what you want to see in the fields of your consciousness, suitable for nurturing the harvest grown by you or the self-sown weed that grows where it wants, consuming resources.

          • Do you know what kind of vegetation forms the very ‘rich’ black soil, fertile soil, in the wild? – Under this very weedy grass 🙂 – under a meadow.
            __
The ‘farmer’ sees only PARTS – separately ‘earth’, separately ‘harvest’, separately ‘interfering trees and stones’, separately ‘weed’ (which is also an enemy – usurper)), insects and animals – pests. The farmer has a lot of enemies – all nature is the farmer’s enemy: excessive rains before harvest can ruin crops, drought and scorching sun – destroy the harvest. The earth loses its fertility as a result of exploitation – the farmer adds ‘fertilizers’, but overall it only exacerbates the situation and as a result, the earth gives the farmer less and less harvest and fighting with it becomes more and more fierce. – (Personally, I do not find such a development of events in my consciousness acceptable)

The farmer fights with enemies all his life. And what happens when the farmer’s strength runs out and he can no longer fight? – Nature wins, cultivated land overgrows with grass, trees. And… in ten years the cycle closes – the land becomes an uncultivated wild meadow with fertile rich black soil 🙂
            __
I am a farmer, I am a plant, I am an animal, I am a worm, I am a stone, I am the earth, I am the air, I am the sun, I am the rain, I am the seed and the fruit, I am the synthesis, I am a part and a whole, I am an ecosystem, and you Sergey – are only a farmer.

          • I will add that we also need animals that leave such needed manure). By the way, chemical fertilizers also need to be absorbed by cultural plants. That is, microorganisms are needed which are more numerous by mass than people. And the quality of the soil itself is very important. And this is microorganisms. That is, no matter how you twist it, plant growing is a symbiosis. Without the lower world, it is difficult to move.

      • All weeds somehow turn out to be very necessary and medicinal. While fighting the so-called weeds, it’s interesting to know who invented such a word, they have left the most resilient ones while reducing the species composition. And yes – there can be no unnecessary ones. Let’s take the example of animated cartoons. During filming, something unrelated to the plot may unintentionally get into the frame, but in drawing, a lot of time and effort is spent. Therefore, any stroke goes by design. So it is in this dream.

    • Ehm? I don’t quite understand what the problem is. Weeds are growing?.. Okay.

We take lawn grass, sow the entire sowing area. That’s it, weeds can’t grow anymore.

What do we want to grow?.. Tomatoes? Okay, we make holes in the lawn for tomatoes.

If we don’t like the lawn, we change it to lettuce. They say it’s better for the roots. Or to basil. They say it’s good for tomatoes.

Or we plant trees, they hardly care about weeds. They live longer and yield more fruit. 🙂

..I forgot something. Oh yes, we project onto consciousness and its elements. 🙂

  8. The path of relating oneself to the ‘farmer’ is more vital than the path of relating to the plant, due to the level of consciousness development. Usually, a person, at a sufficient level of freedom, chooses the environment for themselves, whether to be a weed or something beneficial for the surrounding systems. And from the perspective of the plant level of consciousness development, such a division is completely senseless and unnatural. These systems, paths, and concepts do not make sense to mix, they are too different.

    • I would suggest that after this statement you check your connection with plants. With quotation marks and without, with farmers and weeds – this is a thought about the priority of human consciousness over others. Generally about priority. And then one farmer is ‘more of a farmer’ than another, and other delights. Though it seems like we are all one…

  9. A weed is relevant for a person as a ‘weed’. As a ‘weed’ with all its qualities. For the Sun (from its position), there are no ‘weeds’. For the Earth – neither. The Sun nourishes energy to all. The Earth grows both weeds and wheat in its flesh. Weeds are eaten by little worms, wheat – by people. It is more relevant for them to eat wheat, and they do not like ‘weeds’. So it has happened. People say ‘let weeds grow elsewhere, or not at all’, and they pull the weeds out, while worms cry. People eat useful and delicious plants. Worms can eat a lot and people, just as people eat worms. God eats both kinds. People eat their God. Yum-yum-yum!!! ))

  10. It seems to me many have become enamored with the example of the respected Enmerkar and are straying from the topic. If we replace ‘weeds’ and ‘pests’ with the Parasite of consciousness and other predators, it will be a completely different conversation. Rarely would anyone identify themselves with any of them 🙂

      • In this case, in the creation and purification of intention, the farmer consumes nothing, he grows, using the forces of his own consciousness. The result of this process is not a specific product, but a specific action.

        • At first we accept some Idea (schema, algorithm), and then we project it onto everything – onto the fields of consciousness, onto realizations, onto material reality. First, we identify the parasite of consciousness with the tree – we take an axe and chop, and then we take the axe again and chop the real tree that has grown in the field (because it hinders). Your message in the first comment to me was: ‘Do not romanticize the usual usurpation of the land by weeds’ – My message to you is: ‘Look at it differently, is it not interesting?’ 🙂

    • I think I got carried away with my example.)) If we compare the soil of consciousness with the sowing medium where a weed can grow, then of course, the soil needs to be treated and cultivated, to remove ‘weeds’ or ‘parasites’. Simple and clear. ) In precisely such a specific picture. ) The questions of relation are generally very ambiguous. Sometimes it happens that people determine the characteristics of elements of existence and their place among them (comparison) based on their perception, or even by their degree of usefulness to themselves – loved ones from a position of egocentrism. It can be very problematic to look wider; a person is limited solely by their perception – form, but this form is not the only one. In the form of a human and from the position of this form of perception and interpretation of the Universe, there can be ‘weeds’ and the like, from the viewpoint of other forms, the picture will be different.

  11. For me, for some reason, it is not the most difficult task to see the composition of consciousness. And the movement of one’s own thoughts. And each of our thoughts, of course, leaves an imprint on the entire system as a whole. And then on the surrounding reality. For example, the transition during ‘problems’ in personal relationships looks very vividly. Once… and the world becomes gloomy. And vice versa. This, by the way, is a quote from somewhere: The world becomes cozy when you love one of those living here.
In the system of my consciousness, there is a thought and experience on the theme of what is beyond form. A small experience, but it allows me to know that both the farmer and the grass and the fruits are forms of energy and idea realization. And all are equally in place. I also know that in any opposition, no matter what – it almost immediately starts to ‘knock on the screen’. (Hence the enemies and confrontations). I do not think it is with the intention to punish. I think that basically – it is to become conscious. Although at the current moment it may be painful and seem like an enemy. Moreover, it is often imperceptible. For example, I set myself against some Sergey – and after a little while, another Sergey steps on my foot.
With such a system of consciousness – the article raises no questions or contradictions. Rather, thoughts continue, and they are such: I immediately recall the implementations I have seen and how they germinate, how reality swirls in an amazing way, first with small events, and then larger and larger, until realization. Thoughts about how I have seen intentions germinate, and that it often developed cyclically. Like spirals. That this is beautiful. Thoughts about difficulties, because any thought that does not confront the world (and it is still necessary to manage to escape this), will germinate and be realized. But indeed, it can be difficult to hold it, because there are beliefs that contradict that thought. For me, the realization of intention looks like a directed effort to keep the needed thought. Finding and maintaining the desired state of consciousness. And removing obstacles, again in one’s own head. Of course, supporting points and actions in reality help. Although their primary action, in this case, is to help maintain consciousness. And all this is very fascinating for me.
I was also thinking about how to cleverly extract true intentions. I believe they can only be those that do not affect anyone. And if some people suddenly form that interfere – then it is worth going and looking at what the contradiction is. I also think about the simplicity of realization – it is not so, of course. If our consciousness were such that it corresponds to our intention – it would have already been realized, and we wouldn’t have to strive for it. I think about how wonderfully everything is arranged, and it’s quite convenient. And that deep within myself – I would not want to reach that stage of consciousness too quickly when intentions are realized immediately. On the one hand. On the other hand – it is necessary to go about the skill of intention realization. Because whether to realize them quickly or slowly – I will always be able to decide for myself, and it is not quite the same as to have a head on one’s shoulders and not be able to use it.
I kind of intruded a bit into the conversation and I understand that my statements are strange – seemingly for no one. It really is so. And I thought it was worth showing how this consciousness works. There is such a way of thinking. Although I realize it is not final. Otherwise, I wouldn’t be sitting here)

  12. Interesting. Do people themselves understand what purpose they spend their time, their energy, and strength writing such comments? It would seem, a person shared their path of solving problems. Next, another person, trying to solve their problem and looking for resources, tests this system on themselves. If for some reason it does not fit (it does not matter if it is the wrong path or if the author is mistaken about something), if the goal is self-development, the person leaves the blog and searches for something else.
But judging by the comments – the picture is completely different. A person reads, sees some inconsistencies with their worldview – writes something like ‘the author is a limited farmer, or the author is confused in philosophical chatter, or has not yet emerged from medieval ignorance, or has lifted everything from Castaneda, and certainly in comparison with the writer themselves – who is already above all this.

I do not know, perhaps I also do not see something in myself and do not always respect other people’s points of view. But tell me, am I mistaken, is it not true that if a person has already created their perfect unlimited worldview, do they still need the opinions of other travelers and their worldviews? Is it not true that if something does not fit in this blog, there is no point in spending time and effort proving to everyone that something in the blog, the author, and his readers is wrong?

    • “But judging from the comments – the picture is completely different.” What ‘different’ and whose picture? 😉 “But tell me, am I mistaken, is it true that if a person has already created their perfect unlimited picture of the world, do they still need the opinions of other travelers and their worldviews? Is there really any sense in spending time and energy proving everyone that something in the blog, the author, and his readers is wrong?” The world is ALWAYS right (and level)))) Even when it’s wrong and not level. Sometimes guidelines and conventions are needed. A person created a form by which they define the World. Some have a flexible one, others a more fossilized one, but often all descriptions happen within this form. The World picture, you rightly noted – is limitless. Neither in its form nor in the algorithm of the description inside this form. 😉

      • The picture is mine evidently. What other picture – I seem to have explained. It is clear that each picture has landmarks, conventions, and fossilizations, but there are also destructors, with which the aware destroys both themselves and the surrounding. And in my picture, very often people use someone’s Power, appropriating it for themselves, claiming their ‘greatness’, while the source of Power is being smeared. This is not a single specific case; it constantly happens both on this blog and in other places. And I write about my worldview not because it is hard for me to accept this, although it sometimes is, and not because I consider it the right one, but because I believe in the chance that it could help someone become less destructive and more harmonious.

        • It seems that you are not being smeared with dirt. And to the source of power, it seems that it should not stick, and such a defense does not indicate strength. And your such logic speaks of your own, for some reason, identification with this source of power. However, I see almost for the first time a unified impulse in the comments.

          • It’s not about the dirt; any source of Power can be destroyed, partially or completely, through consumerism. It is very rare for someone to do this intentionally and consciously. Most often, either the person knows nothing about the source at all and acts ‘accidentally’, by inertia, or knows, and thinks they are doing something good, fulfilling their desires, becoming stronger, not seeing that for the sake of these ‘desires’ and strength, they leave ashes behind. Usually, I change myself instead of proving something to someone; I have enough of my own mistakes. But this time I made an exception because I feel my responsibility for certain processes.

          • You say exactly the same thing again, just in a different language. I see that you feel responsibility for certain processes and that you believe that something can be done with a person’s Power, contrary to their will. Such an attitude twists everything inside out because the one you are defending is considered weak. And strangely enough, you do actually exert influence. I see the same energy spin, according to its pattern, with your participation for the third time here. And it basically has every right to exist. But this is not help and not protection or a cognitive process.

          • “It’s not about the dirt, any source of Power can be destroyed, partially or entirely, by consumption.” I’ll add the thought that the Source of Power cannot be destroyed. After all, to destroy the Source, one needs… Power. And the Power comes from the Source… ) You cannot destroy Power itself. You can destroy the conduit of Power, that which conducts it, transforms it. Again, with the help of the Power itself. For instance, electricity can destroy the conduit, burn it out, depriving a house of power. But that does not negate the phenomenon of electric current itself. Electrons will continue to move just the same, but the house will be without power and light.

        • It is wonderful that you have such a picture. ) It’s much more diverse than pictures where there’s only sausage and a TV, although there may be their own pluses in such pictures. And to become more harmonious and less destructive, it first helps whom? After all… WHOSE picture is it? 😉

    • I, too, in no way consider myself enlightened. Enlightened beings probably don’t write blogs 🙂 I am just a traveler on my Path, and everything I say and write here is just thoughts and observations arising on this Path, nothing more.

          • What does it mean to be ‘fully realized’ and how do you specifically envision this?

          • To be fully realized means to have no personal/individual directed inclinations, aspirations, limitations, and identifications. It means to experience everything, to go through everything, and to know everything. It means to fully realize all the possibilities of self-knowledge that this individuality provided, and to merge with the unified reality in pure presence (or, which is the same – in pure absence) in it.

          • Isn’t the Path infinite, just like potential possibilities? Isn’t it possible to be merged with the unified reality without a moment of transition? Is there a criterion that answers the word “Fully”?

          • From the point of view of time – the Path is infinite. But time, unlike consciousness, is conditional.

        • Once, after Buddha attained enlightenment, people became interested in this and asked him: – Buddha, you have attained enlightenment. Surely, everything is different now? Tell me WHAT has changed? – Nothing, – Buddha replied with a smile.

          • I hope this is still a fiction about the Buddha. Or a hostile environment. Because I had nearly half the world turned upside down with every enlightened mental structure. 🙂

          • If anyone starts to consider themselves an enemy of the Buddha, then enemies of the Buddha will arise. But the Buddha has no enemies.

          • His consciousness should not cause confrontations. Because he has no personality, there is nothing to oppose. This is what I’m talking about. And enemies cannot arise. Neither enemies of statements nor enemies of his real activities. This is probably similar to Castaneda’s “I will not be there” in some way. And it is verified through one’s own experience, which surely exists. When we truly become indifferent (not leaving out of spite or depriving something, but truly indifferent), to a person or relationships – they disappear from the screen. Without a trace. By the way, I don’t know what was on the screen for the Buddha because everything happening, referred to as our Path, can also be called our karma. What happens if it is absent… Of course, all texts about enlightenment talk about this. But I am a true practitioner-practitioner. I can read how the world looks without karma and know, but I have not seen it yet.

          • That’s why, incidentally, I became interested in the statement that enlightened structures turn over and turn the world. From experience and all writings – nothing happens. A simple human story, from Serkin’s book about the shaman (I like it), how there the author’s friend built a house, transported materials into the forest, built it. Then someone moved in unlawfully. They kicked him out. And the man got offended and set it on fire. And the builders caught the fire. And the builder of this house looks at it and suddenly smiles and says, “how beautifully it burns.” That moment, in my opinion, is enlightenment. It can be checked – there are no enemies in it, the world has not been turned upside down.

          • ))))))
Perhaps it was enlightenment, or perhaps it was something else… 😉 For some, this is nonsense, for others – wisdom, maybe it was the aesthetics of fire, an installation of flame and light, the transformation of energy, an act of destruction (it was there too)) and the dance of Kali… And the rocks “thought” – the echo’s resonance. 😉 And, by the way, they were right… )

            P.S. Enlightenment cannot be “somebody’s”. 😉

            P.S.S Once again about Buddha.)))
If anyone starts to consider himself an enemy of Buddha, then an enemy of Buddha will appear.
But Buddha has no enemies. )

          • A mental structure can flip from side to side, flipping the world.

      • Why ‘it’s unlikely that enlightened beings write blogs’? Why can’t they run a blog?

        • I think they can write a blog if that’s a necessary form of expressing love and compassion. Although, I suppose I’m talking about bodhisattvas.

      • “… I came to the old Berber, who is lean and gray, to resolve the questions that torment me. ‘I see, my son, the hot light shines through you, – so you are not its owner…”

  13. I do not know where to write this, but I would like to understand, from the point of view of Eastern myth, what happens with dogs. With normal dogs that, by our standards, love. Is it considered their delusion or what.. I have such a strange question that arose.
