Elements and Principles
Although we have already mentioned that in the modern Western Myth, born of the interaction between pagan and Kabbalistic outlooks, a clear distinction is drawn between the notions of “Principles” and “Elements,” many Magi — precisely because of the syncretic nature of the Myth itself — overlook this division, with the result that the energies in their practices often combine disharmoniously.
In fact, the Myth in question names Earth for three distinct Powers: 1) the elemental power of passive inertia, 2) the Principle of Generation, and 3) the primal ground, the fulcrum of the flow of life. Similarly, “Water” refers to both Applied Passivity and the unstoppable principle, Fire — both Vertical Activity and the Principle of Rarefaction, and Air — both Horizontal Activity and a mobile principle.

It is important to understand that all elemental forces, including those in which particular Elements predominate, are by their very nature androgynous and act as the alchemical salt, whereas the Elemental powers relate to the Quaternary poles and to the symbols of the Tetragrammaton.
Accordingly, by invoking the Principle of Earth in a Ritual, the Magus gains the support of the Vanir, Yord, or — if one uses the Slavic myth — Mokosh, and possibly Zibog; by invoking the Elemental power, he calls upon the Gnomes or, in Celtic myth, the city of Falias and its Rulers.
And so, depending on the character of the power, both the structure of the Ritual and its capabilities and effects change.

Moreover, since we call a Ritual any ordered and conscious action undertaken to fulfill a desire, a clear understanding of the participants in this process becomes all the more important.
By invoking one Power in a Ritual while appealing to another power, the Magus risks not only a powerful backlash but also damage to his authority.
Therefore the sense of power that the Magus must cultivate within himself must be discriminating, and the Principle of Intelligence must function as a developed part of his psyche.

Thank you, I’m starting to understand what the ‘quirk’ of my actions is and why the results do not meet expectations.
Please tell me, you previously mentioned that a magician can combine elements from different systems in the ritual if they have enough power. Here, as I understand it, a similar situation arises, and the question is – is the risk of getting a backlash due to the simple lack of understanding of the operator of all its components, or simply due to disharmony/inability to interact with some of the systems?
There are no systems that are initially and completely incapable of interaction – for the world is essentially one. And if a magician clearly understands that they are combining different powers, and if they have the will, courage, and Authority for this, they may indeed achieve success. Failure in Magic in many cases is precisely the result of unclear description of what is happening, and erroneous operation with inappropriate forces. In this case, to achieve success, the magician will need a tremendous amount of innate strength and Hamingya.
We started studying the elements and here’s what we find out.
In general, it started with studying runes and some preliminary knowledge, important among which is that for the subconscious there is no distinction between real and imagined events. That is, all the movies we see, for example, are indeed very real and become part of our experience. Or even the script. If you don’t keep track)
And so, while studying runes we encountered various images of animals and forces and a strange desire which can only be described with a sound “uh” at the beginning.
I love to bring sensations into words. It turns out that when faced with an unknown phenomenon, I wanted to know it. Some want this very strongly. And I stumbled upon habitual methods of cognition. I laughed at myself like a child. For example, we see a dolphin. And it resonates indescribably. But what can I do to know it – eat it, touch it, talk to it – all of this is both unrealistic and will not give me the full depth of sensations – I want to know it and not destroy, touch or exchange with it. From this, we developed a amusing technique of connecting through energy fields. Just like doubling, overlaying one onto another, reading data about a new object and acquiring new properties. Afterwards, I realized that this is how children learn, very small ones. The only thing that, in my opinion, without the first part – such a awakened wild desire to know some part of the world – all of this remains a part of the mind games – a meditation on the subject. But we clearly wanted to know and therefore we succeeded.
And now we’ve reached the elements.
This is also quite strangely developed in the world – everyone recognizes a person as a bearer of certain elements – and psychology and astrology, i.e. this is common knowledge, however, for realization, a combination of elements is needed that is greater than is usually expressed in one person. I noticed this before all magic – just from the fact that with my fiery friends, we only need to talk about something and there you go – it all comes to life.
Also about studying elements and world phenomena – I note some destabilization of the system in the first hours after data input. It wobbles, and you are not completely yourself anymore nor anything new. Many people fear this state. Surrounding ones, for sure – instead of the familiar outlines and characteristics of a person, they see something incomprehensible during this time. And I was afraid at first to let myself go. But then the system stabilizes, acquiring new properties. Of course, we don’t forget the reference points – I understood this well in this blog. The new state of the system needs to be marked and secured. And one can call upon the elements) I am just a proponent of the idea that how can you manage what you do not know and what is not in you? – no way, because instead of a phenomenon, there is only a word and fragments of ideas about it, which participate in the ritual instead of the element itself.
Today I explained the principle of energy to my daughter. I asked her to imagine an element and send me a beam with an idea into my right palm. I said: water, and she replied: Yes, rain)) And I saw a whirlpool, motion.. matter.
