Windows and Doors
No matter how dark the prison into which internal and external predators try to confine the mind, the natural order of things compels it to strive for Power, and Power — for the mind.
Power calls and knocks at the mind, and all the efforts of the parasites are aimed precisely at preventing it from hearing those calls.
Therefore, every time Power manifests its presence, the mind is distracted the other way, and more often than not misses its chance for development.
But Light constantly forces its way through the walls of the mind toward its center, and if one looks closely, sources of Power periodically flare up within it, and in the heavy, gloomy walls that separate the mind from the surrounding world, windows periodically appear.
In other words, Power is continually reminding the mind of itself; it persistently calls the mind to expansion and development, but having been trained to play the victim, the mind prefers its dismal dungeon to the boundless, multicolored — albeit dangerous — world of freedom and Magic.
And the windows through which the mind can observe wondrous things open and close, and the further the stream of life flows, the more these “moments of truth” are pushed into the deeper layers of the Psychocosmos, appearing only as vague illuminations and disturbing dreams.
If a child lives in a world of constant wonder and mystery, then as they grow up, their outlook gradually hardens, and their capacity to be astonished, to create, and to perceive in general gradually fades.
Even the mere opportunity to peek into the “window of Power” is a rare and precious chance, and the opportunity to turn that window into a door, a passage from a state of victimhood to a state of free creativity, is encountered even more rarely. The more the predators strive to make one miss that chance, the more actively they distract the mind into a whirl of false activity and empty experience.
Nevertheless, Power pushes the mind toward development, and if a person accepts this help, opens the doors to Power, they emerge from stagnation and sleep and begin their endless quest, their battles, which exhaust them, but also grant the sense of genuine life, since the very possibility of fighting for freedom already fills them with Power.
And only when a person learns to notice the windows to Power opening around them, and to turn them into doors, do they become a Magus, and their further development is aimed at finding simply “weak spots” in the walls and forcing passages through them, gradually advancing from barrier to barrier — toward freedom and light.

Great article. It was like that in my childhood too. Often remembering those states, bathing in strength then tore my consciousness apart with happiness. But it was easy to stumble back then… I stumbled, unfortunately.
Can you give a simple example from life, what is a window? I read the article, I understand, I agree, but I can’t understand what a window is. Of course, this is the hardest part, if everyone could easily identify it, there would be no problems at all. But I want to understand my missed opportunities, how they were, how they appeared. Enmerkar, please give a simple example of a window, I’m getting lost and can’t do it myself, but honestly, I understand very well what tricks distract us.
A window into the Force can be anything, any event that reminds us that the mundane is not the genuine reality, or rather, not all of reality. A window can be a literary work or music; a window can be a Ritual. Finally, a window can be this site or a seminar. It all depends on the individual Path.
And is the photo at the beginning of the article referring to that Mangup in Crimea? If so, it would be nice to go see it up close. Impressive. Who’s building is it anyway?
Yes, it is Mangup, the capital of Theodoro in Crimea. The building is Byzantine, although the city itself is older, Sarmatian-Alanian.
To open doors, do you need anything besides the decision to irrevocably step into the unknown?
If this decision is filled with strength, nothing else is needed.
My window was a computer game… But when I passed through that window, a path opened, along with power and all the complexities and obstacles… Experiences and questions… and the impossibility of returning to simple perception and ordinary human life.
