Monads and Transcendental Solitude

mind

A human, like any manifested being, is a projection of the Absolute into the abyss of the World’s Immanence. In knowing itself, the Absolute distinguishes a binary relation between subject and object within its homogeneity, objectifying the field in which it operates of consciousness and being.

The aspect of the Absolute projected into Being as a sequence of incarnations — concrete individual beings — is traditionally called the Monad. According to the classical definition, a Monad is “a relatively infinite Substance of the second order“, that is, a differential unit set apart from other such units by the property of its individuality. In other words, the Monad is a unique mode of the Absolute’s self-knowledge, its individual gaze upon itself and the aggregate of its differential aspects. Being an aspect of the Absolute, the Monad is likewise infinite and all-encompassing, including everything (and nothing) within its individual perspective. In this sense, the Monad is as much an elementary subject of the single essentially cognitive act of the Great Spirit as energy — elementary interaction — is its elementary object. The Monad is not a “part” of the Great Spirit, since in the Absolute there are no fragmentations or divisions, but the Great Spirit Itself, manifesting through one of its aspects, in a single act of subjectivity.

While dwelling in the depths of the Absolute, the Monad has no actual existence, being merely a field of potentialities — possibilities of awareness — whose actualization constitutes the essence of any being’s life through the series of its incarnations.

It is clear that in order to be truly a unique mode of the Absolute’s self-knowledge, each Monad must be entirely unique, and therefore completely separate from all other Monads.

Therefore it is understandable that no Monad, as a substance in its aspect of infinity, can even theoretically have any points of contact with other Monads. One could say that from the Monad’s own point of view, only it exists, and if it were not for the superposed aspect of the integral unity of the Great Spirit, the world would be an infinitely fragmented multiplicity of non-overlapping universes.

loneliness

From this, people often conclude that any being is doomed to absolute, transcendental solitude and cannot, in principle, be understood by any other being.

The Pagan Myth, by consigning the Monad together with the Absolute beyond the scope of cognition, focuses attention on actual being. From its point of view, the Monad is merely a possibility, lacking concrete existence and inaccessible to relative knowledge. Therefore all the attention of the pagan myth is concentrated on the most synthetic Manifested aspect, which is called the “Composition“, or “Adir” of a being and is, in fact, a aggregate of energies, the awareness and actualization of which are accessible in the present incarnation.

In other words, the unity and interaction of Monads manifest on two levels: the “supra-monadic” — the aspect of the non-dual existence of the Absolute — and the “relatively manifested” — the aspect of the interpenetration of activities of knowing and being known.

From this perspective, it is clear that different Adirs that include the same energies are quite capable of interacting effectively, as we observe in reality.

However, how deep is such interaction?

It is clear that the more shared energies the Compositions contain, the deeper the interaction between them. And it turns out that there are Adirs whose ALL energies coincide. Such Adirs are popularly called “kindred souls.” However, it is evident that Adirs can be energetically analogous only if the Monads that engender them also resonate.

Therefore, in practice, some interaction between Monads should indeed be possible, which is achieved through the coincidence of the coordinates of their actual manifestations — the Adirs.

It follows that a person is not doomed to loneliness. So why is it so ubiquitous in life?

The answer is obvious: to become aware of the coincidence of the energies of the Adirs, one needs Power. The Parasite of mind, however, prevents one from accumulating it.

Therefore it turns out that Magic is not only the path to power but also the path to love.

  1. What happens during the resonance of monads? And how permanent is this phenomenon?

  2. If two Monads resonate, does that mean their Adirs will always coincide? And why is “non-resonance” even possible? It seems to me that it can’t be, since Monads are the essence of a part of the Absolute substance of the 1st kind, and the presence of dead connections within the composition would lead to a violation of its integrity. From this follows that it is essential for understanding this resonance to have the most complete intersection of compositions…
    Is the Adir composition constant? Does the presence of Power allow changing the composition, including new elements, or does Power allow expanding one’s own awareness of the Adir?

    • 1) Monads are not “part of substance”, but are themselves Substance;
      2) Adirs do not change; only the potentials of the Monad are realized in them;
      3) When speaking of the “common” elements of Adirs, we mean their actualized elements.

  3. re:1) I agree, I expressed myself poorly, however, nonetheless, Monads are like the One, and are in relation to it the same as potentials are to the Monad itself.

    re:2) So, is the Adir a kind of point of contact between the Active Element and the Passive?
    re:3) What does “actualized” mean? Who/what can influence the actualization? If this is predetermined during incarnation, then there should also be Power allowing one to fully comprehend one’s composition.

    However, all of this is a bit off topic… It turns out that a Monad, actualizing its potentials in the Adir, can, quite accidentally (though not rarely), coincide with some other Monad. Such a coincidence allows the Monad to resonate, so to speak, that is, to feel a connection with another Monad, thereby overcoming the transcendental loneliness characteristic to it. Now the question is, what happens to this connection after the point of contact is severed?

    • Like any connection, it remains, gradually thinning, and may disappear over time, or it may remain until the end of life or even carry over to the next incarnations.

  4. All this is true for a specific embodied Composition, but in terms of Monads, time does not exist… thus, inter-monadic connections always exist in potentiality, and incarnations are conditionally divided into before and after its actualization… or by the degree of manifestation of this connection. The Monad itself, at the same time, remains just as lonely… and yet connected to all others.

  5. The connection between monads (stars) exists, and what a connection it is! The feeling of total loneliness can be useful, but it does not negate the connection, which embodied beings experience a profound unconscious fear about. Because it is no candy. It is a mad fiery force, absolutely ruthless. It is this celestial force that forms star pairs, Lines, and even entire ‘necklaces’. When a star pair arises, it does not consider the relationships between the pair of its embodied beings, nor whether they suit each other, are convenient, needed, and so on. Sometimes, such people can just have their minds blown from just one memory of the other because they feel like the other is themselves through star connection. And it may happen that they simply cannot be near each other! Because their embodied personalities do not ‘fit’ at all! And this can bring terrible suffering until these personalities go through the necessary alchemy, or until the pattern of stars in the sky changes. Yes, star connection exists in Eternity, where there is no time, and it is only a ‘potential’. At the same time, the power of this force when it manifests can be simply overwhelming! And only strong spirits can accept it, and only impeccable magicians can effectively apply it.

    • I am currently in such a connection… and yes, we are like 2 plasma stars… and this connection in life is really impossible, but there it is pure cosmos.

  6. Love… Only Eternity knows what is happening and being created… And only the stars say: who is born for whom, and when, and what fate to give… The idea of the coincidence of souls is beautiful, but dangerous for life. A soul will come here when there are Deeds for it. And even a fire will not ignite if the soul does not change… The answer for soul coincidence is this: only the soul chooses with whom it wants to be… The deeds of this Truth are Love..

  7. Hello. As I understand it, people with a similar Composition may have different natal charts, but at the same time, they are compatible? In general, is it possible to somehow transcribe this topic from the Adyra to synastric compatibility in astrology?

  8. Hello!
    Am I correct in understanding that the mystical experience of oneness is a brief experience of realizing the fullness of one’s own Adira?
    And what is true oneness?
    An interaction of the totality of monads in the pleroma?
