Time of Power
Although the Flow of Power flows at an intensity determined by the level of consciousness, the interaction of that Flow with the mind fluctuates over time.
Such fluctuations depend on the individual capacity of the conduits of consciousness to interact with the Flow and on oscillations within the Flow itself, which are determined by the underlying principles of the worldview.
Fluctuations in the availability of Power follow cyclical patterns both over short and long terms. For example, one Wayfarer senses Power best in the morning, another in the evening; one — in winter, another — in summer; one — at the new moon, another — at the full moon. Moreover, for one person the peak activity may occur in the morning while the highest receptivity occurs in the evening, whereas for another these periods coincide.
For a Magus it is very important to know periods when Power is most and least available and to factor them into their practice. In other words, a hunter needs to know not only the habits of their prey but also to know their own habits. This will significantly increase the effectiveness of progress along the Way.
Most manuals on magical activity take into account only the macrocosmic fluctuations of Power — for example, the so-called “planetary hours” of the respective planets that favor the manifestation of certain Powers, or the phases of the Moon. However, this often overlooks that the Microcosm is as complex a system as the Macrocosm and that the individual operator is an equal participant in the Magical Game as the Great Flow of Power.
In other words, if, for example, the Powers activated by a particular ritual are most available in the evening, but for a given operator the Time of Power is the morning, then the timing of that ritual for that operator must be adjusted so as to maximize alignment between the availability of the Power being awakened and the operator’s ability to receive it.
Since magical life — interactions with Power — for the Wayfarer is not limited to the ritual aspect, one should consider the Time of Power in all activities: reading and conversations, travels and expeditions, and so on.
Aside from reducing Life Energy spent on these activities, this also allows one to more deeply affirm one’s selfhood, one’s individuality, which is also important on the Magical Way.

Is it possible to shift the cycles?
It is possible, of course. But violence against one’s nature, among other things, means reducing individuality.
It was important to hear this. Thank you, esteemed Enmerkar.
