Alignment of Flows
The primary and fundamental criterion of the expediency of any action for a Magus is what the degree to which this action increases awareness. Magi are strictly pragmatic beings; they do not undertake actions that have no meaning from the standpoint of the development of their awareness.
Therefore a Magus’s efforts are directed toward his general development, with minimal diversion of energy into other channels.
Accordingly, the reason a Magus performs an action is that this action must (or can) make him stronger (that is, more aware).
We have already said that one of the most effective ways for a Magus to increase his effectiveness can be joining other wayfarers, and creating on the basis of that union a more stable flow of consciousness than could be achieved alone.
At the same time, one should not get the impression that any such union will be effective.
Any flow consists of two components – its direction and its intensity. In turn, the direction of a flow depends both on the key points of support, that is the ‘skeleton’ of the Way, its primary characteristics, and on the methods of transition from one such point to another. In other words, even if two people (or two groups) share the same Orlög, this does not necessarily mean they have the same Wyrd.
At the same time, flows that have identical support points but move between them by different methods, when combined, will not only fail to strengthen one another but are more likely to weaken each other.
Once again, no ideology can justify a decrease in awareness, and therefore no action that leads to a loss of Power is justified for a Magus.
However, this does not mean that unions are possible only within Magical families where both a matching Wyrd and Orlög exist. Moreover, experience shows that even for members of the same Magical family mutual harmonization is not automatic; it must be worked on.
The efforts of the forces of disunity are precisely aimed at separating the Wyrd even for those whose Wyrd should be identical, so a Magus should not expect an instant and complete alignment of flows; he must work on their mutual harmonization.
The question then remains only one – can these flows be effectively harmonized? – that is, will the energetic gain from their eventual union be sufficient to justify the effort required to unite them.
Unfortunately, predators do not sleep, and the power of Ea, which supports the drive to unite flows, including flows of mind, is not, of course, free from destructive forces.
Often, upon examination, a desire to unite is used to mask exploitative motives — the drive for one flow to absorb or vampirize another.
Therefore the current energetic situation in our world is such that, on the one hand, streams of Power, separated and scattered in darkness, dwindle and dry up without mutual support, and on the other hand, the impulse to unite and merge periodically takes on a Qliphothic character.
A modern Magus needs to understand the ambiguity of this situation and avoid both the desire for complete isolation and egomaniacal isolation, and thoughtlessly flinging himself into the arms of anyone from whom there is even the slightest sign of Power.
Magi must resist both the Nakhash, which consigns them to destruction in disunity and solitude, and the Qliphothized Ea, which leads to the mutual absorption of flows and, ultimately, to a reduction in their number instead of augmentation and resonance.
Only a sober assessment of the expediency of union, plus an understanding of the necessity of substantial efforts to mutually harmonize the flows, will provide the basis for avoiding the senseless dissipation of Power, which is already an increasing deficit.
In working with alternative flows, balance, working from different viewpoints, creativity in AWARENESS and use of POWER are very helpful.
Even diametrically opposed flows can mutually enrich each other, for each contains a particle of the opposite. And counterspells often rely on spells.
Your Neutrality and constructiveness will protect from unpleasant effects of flows of opposite direction.
The criterion that any interaction is realized FROM POWER and with the aim of GROWING POWER will help avoid empty experiences, profanations, and klippotic ‘relational’ forms of interaction.
Harmonization of flows, when possible and appropriate, can be achieved by becoming the CENTER OF HARMONIZATION of flows. This requires resources of POWER, ACCEPTANCE, and UNDERSTANDING of the essence of all present flows, removing all conflicting parts beyond interaction or transmuting them through alternative probabilistic lines of interaction.
It is necessary to manage POWER, INTENTION, and WILL of flows in such a way that your freedom of choice as a magician remains with you at any moment of interaction with alternative flows.
Your intention, invested with the necessary POWER to form and strengthen your flow, attracts students, followers, magicians of similar POWER and DIRECTION. It also attracts larger predators to you 🙂
So, theoretically: We will unite to discover the Meaning of unity.
Practically: We will unite with those with whom it will be effective.
What does it mean to know the Meaning of unity? First and foremost, it means setting an endless Goal before oneself; it should not be confused with fixation, as the pursuit of knowledge in magic is to become aware of something new. Of course, some may have absurd associations, for example: they will envision magicians gathered around a round table discussing the same topic: why should we unite? and so it goes on forever. Not taking into account that it is precisely in the pursuit of knowledge that it is necessary to unite, which, in turn, means joint activity, setting similar tasks, etc.
But let’s return to the Meaning; for each of us, it is always unfathomable and mysterious. Take for example the magician pondering over the questions of the Question. Yes, at a certain point, we may understand the Meaning a little and even express it in words, but is that enough for us? Those who confront the Mystery of the universe will say no! Because they see the narrowness of the embraces into which we are capable of enclosing the world.
Indeed, what I am saying does not have any urgent question, but it does have an answer for some period of time in it. Because even without making a choice, we still make one. As an example, remember the same magician pondering the questions of the Question and his own, while still an ordinary person who has never thought about why he lives, etc. Instead, he has answers like ‘I live and that’s that,’ ‘I exist and will continue to,’ ‘Everyone will die except for me,’ but we understand how illusory such answers are, and so are the goals (actions).
Let’s try to figure out where all this fear comes from. We flood the World with destructive transmissions. Who remembers what LOVE is? How often do we transmit such energy into the WORLD? A magician nurtures their fear and ignorance with their POWER (one of the main channels of losing POWER). The Doctor gave excellent practical advice, but the first step is to control personal fear.

but there will still be some divergence… perhaps it is better to concentrate on personal strength and more often remember what Love is, as Alaris writes… yes, every day overcoming one’s fear, nurturing everything bright and good within oneself… and look, the world will become brighter…) maybe there is not much sense and value in complex / ‘with lies’ / reasoning, terms, and intricate words… maybe just become stronger and kinder?..)
I agree with Alaris, the first thing to do is understand where all the fears come from. Let’s just be without fear. Unification implies common goals and the creation of directed streams of energy. The doctor gave good advice, I do not argue, but now, it seems to me, it is time to present the picture of what is happening in a more, let’s say, human understanding. Just imagine, we all gathered nearby, talking, doing something… What are we doing, what are we discussing, where did we gather, when, how many of us are there, what do we want as a result? If the picture is clearly represented, then it means that the matter is already inscribed in the probability lines, and so be it. And if the picture represents a simple social gathering with no purpose, then the conversation has no further meaning. Personally, I can say that I am always happy to try something different and interesting, especially if it is a practical action. Perhaps, if we describe our goals in more detail, it will be clearer what we want? if, of course, the word ‘we’ is appropriate here. :-)) I ask to take the last part as a good-natured joke.
All parts and particles in the World are embedded in a single flow by the Will of the Creator. Selfhood can only be fantasized. Selfhood is a serious step on the path to voluntary self-destruction. Rational openness generates Power. Alira, I distinguish two ‘whales’ of fear: misunderstanding of the Laws of the World, and illusions in the assessment of one’s own strengths. The unifying principle can be working on harmonizing oneself, the space around oneself, and beyond (as far as one’s strength lasts).
Perhaps fear is the ignorance of what lies ahead? And additionally, I think that fear is only frightening when you run from it. When you turn to face it, it’s not that frightening…
In my opinion, one can fantasize about the Creator, their presence/participation/manifestations. However, to fantasize about the self doesn’t make much sense, as it is an entity that exists as a fact. It can only be understood and interpreted in different ways. IMHO.

By the way, in addition to fear, all other forms of the parasite of awareness can also hinder the magician in creating stable flows. That is their nature 🙂
In one of the manuscripts, I read that the VISION of the Laws of the world’s development, the LAWS, which are unified for all beings – is what unites magicians.
And the preservation and harmonization based on the Knowledge of the current state of the manifested physical reality of our world is what provides the GREAT PATH for magicians.
This, sometimes, along with the growth of the power of awareness, can justify temporary, power, spatial, and informational unities of magicians.
Alira and alaris are right – without victory over parasites, including fears, any unity not only does not lead to the growth of strength, but also “gives” a “unique opportunity” to nourish each other’s parasites and exchange them 🙂 May this pass you by thrice, each who has read this 🙂
